'19 TN DL Bill Norton

Even if Bailey reclassifies he'd still be in the 2020 class. Would wait to sign the papers until that deadline passes. I personally don't see it, and don't even want it. I want Bailey down the road when the rest of the team has the talent to make full use of his potential.

Personally, I would like to see him on campus and in our QB room as soon as possible

Having him here next year would just waste a RS or year of eligibility imo. We're not doing anything special. He'll be an EE in 2020. If he's as good as advertised he could pull a Trevor Lawrence maybe. But regardless, 2021 is when we will have the ideal combination of OL/DL, talent, depth and experience all around to make top use of Bailey.

i would think if you wanted to really close the deal on some offensive prospects in this class and he was going to reclassify, you'd be up front about it.

i think it actually makes more sense that he sticks in the 20 class and we get a year of peer recruiting with him. as good as the 19 class can/will be...............

i really think the 20 class with him as a cornerstone has a chance to be really special. for that reason, i acutally hope the reclassifying deal is put to bed.

This.... and....

he needs Freeze to send a half dozen hooker's to his senior prom next year, so he can be the MAC DADDY with the Ladies....

You know they make other QBs right? Also wouldn't he be better as a sophomore or junior than a freshman? This makes my head hurt.

I just would like to have him signed, sealed and delivered. Would love him to enroll and RS and not have to play him till 2020 anyway. Just would remove the option for other teams to flip him and also allow him to work with our staff daily to prepare for his turn to start. He probably isn't planning on being a 4 year starter anyway, so lets get this clock started!

And i am not opposed to any of what you said! Bailey is a young dude, he's only going to get better. I'm definitely not expected him to be a four year guy either, but every year of development for young QBs is huge. I'd prefer to have him when he's as good as he'll ever be at college age. But if he is here in the fall lets get rockin!

I am just enjoying this rebuild. We obviously have the right people in place. Fulmer, Pruitt, Staff. Awesome get yesterday for our future without an OC. I bet we get a good one too. Watching that search, seeing the multiple possibilities how this years recruiting class could end up with. Shaping up realllllll nice.

Dont mistake hope and faith with truly having the right people in place. It is time for this program to show real results. The recent history of UTAD pulling in opposite directions as well as fans/inmates running the asylum are easy scapegoats for what really has been a ****** ten plus years.

Opinion that is close to factual...we know Fulmer is the guy. I too HOPE and have have faith that Pruitt et al can get it done. but if history is a predictor of success. We have no data to show such. Butch could recruit. So could Fooley, and Kiffin. None could produce results for a long period.

i dont want to hear that TN is a tough place to win. no more excuses. TN is a great program. Just read what kids say thst visit! We just need to win.

Norton ! Tennessee's been watchin you!

all fair.

problem is to find out if any of htat comes to fruition, we'll need to revisit in 5 or 6 years and take stock.

so all we have right now are things that predicate the result, and our opinion as to whether or not it helps acheive those results.

that part hasn't changed the last 10 years. and unforunately, neither have the results.

so all you are really left with is your best educated guesses (some more educated than others) as to what will happen, and the hope that it does go our way.

OL or DL? Looks like an OL in film.

DL, people said Ed (Too Tall) Jones was too tall to play defensive lineman and we all know how that wound up. He could end up being an OL but I don’t see that happening cause he’s just to talented as a defensive player. This dude would be swatting down passes left and right!

On film he doesn't look super quick, so I figured he would be more of an OL than DL. JMO.

He looks fairly quick to me. He doesn't go full speed most of the time, he seems to read how the play develops, get to the right spot on time, and (this is big) does not overrun a ball carrier and let him get away.

Yeah -- I don't want to give the wrong impression; I think he looks like an excellent prospect. Just wouldn't be surprised if they consider him for OL as well.
