Couldn't disagree more. Stands straight up at the snap and gets knocked off the line of scrimmage routinely. I have seen him get put on his butt numerous times. Luck's his way into a tackle then showboats. Glad he chose Georgia.
I don’t know that we “missed out” but he was better than I expected. He did stand straight up, but I didn’t see him get blown off the ball (didn’t watch the second half) and he was routinely getting doubled or combo’d. He held his ground, kept good leverage, disengaged from his blocks and made tackles at the LOS and several for loss. What were you seeing that some of these other guys wasn't, or vice versa? Couple of people are saying he looked real good, and we've missed out.

I noted in the other thread that he doesn’t have a quick first step, prob not gonna be a quick pass rusher type, at least not right now.
He is more of a take to me now than he was. Not a knock your socks off guy, but solid run stopper type imo
He is still taking way too many plays off in my opinion. Generally, if the play is going to other side from him, he will just kinda stand there and watch instead of showing quick down the line pursuit. I also don't think at this point he gets off or sheds blocks well either. Again, just my opinion. He didn't do squat the 2nd half.Class is gonna be great without but he'd also be a good addition with a ton of upside.
Interesting. Did you watch the first half? I didn’t watch the second half but I thought he got off blocks really well in the first half.He is still taking way too many plays off in my opinion. Yes and I thought he did a decent job but nothing great. I don't know the kids name or remember his number but Zion needs to play with the motor the defensive tackle played with all game for LebanonInteresting. Did you watch the first half? FIFY. I don't care about stars as long as the DL recruits in this class can immediately step in and play.
Bama is forced to play 5* players because Butch Jones and Bob Welton’s method of taking lowly rated 4* and unknown 3* players hasn’t quite taken root yetAlabama says hello. 5* after 5* lined up 4 deep at every position from Freshman to Senior and they get coached. I’m very well aware of what you’re saying and agree... mostly. Highly rated doesn’t always mean star rating. I focus as much on offer list as well. But when Tennessee is in the running for a kid with offers from, Coastal Carolina, Valdosta State UT San Antonio (TIC mostly so don’t take it literally, just an example)....we are not gaining on the better teams in the SEC. We need to land some whales, lots of them.
