'20 TN DT Omari Thomas (UT SIGNEE)

Dont you just love people who make bold statements, not knowing what the hell they're talking about?
Lol when did I say I did? In fact, I thanked someone who told me they recruit by region. I didn’t know. Which is why I threw in IMO. I swear you internet tough guys really like to pounce on people for no damn reason when I guarantee you wouldn’t be a smart a** in person.

I respectfully disagree. The d line is benefiting from Bituli and To’oto’o having great years. The d line couldn’t line up correctly for 4 games and routinely ran into each other and fell down.
So they weren't very good but now they are? Coaching. Bituli and To'oto'o have benefited from them also.

If we lose Hardy and Big O, Rocker needs to go. I think our D line has played well but we need elite talent to compete for championships. Back the truck up for Tosh.
And, with the "guarantee" in this last post! Who's the internet tough guy now?!

Good coaching leads to winning which leads to better recruiting. Look at coach Barnes. He just signed the best class in UT history because he found diamonds in the rough, developed them, and won.

I like our 2020 class right now and I’m confident we will add 7-8 other good players. 2021 is going to be a very good class I think. Pruitt has a chance to catapult us back to the top next season. We will have elite depth on the lines of scrimmage and a senior QB
I like our class so far also. If you look at how they will help us instead of the # they are in the recruiting rankings, you should, too. We will just have to be the underdog to the top of the SEC while building. But if they continue to play the way they have, I'm excited to watch them.

Garner is a great recruiter however he wanted to be more than that. He coaching skills are limited. I think he wanted to be a DC. I believe he left for higher coaching responsibilities & money. It is the age old debate. You have to be both a great coach & recruiter. Some are only one. We have seen 1st hand what happens when you cant coach them up. Garner has found his niche.

It is a shame what goes on at Auburn with these recruits. When you are under age, you need the signature of your parent for the scholarship. Time and again we hear a player wanting to go somewhere and his parent not wanting to sign off. Some of these families are poor and this is taken advantage of. People use their kids to rise up. They convince themselves that this is best for the family.

Unless I missed something about scholarship programs, Briarcrest costs like $17,000 a year. If his parents can afford that they aren't poor. Auburn has to be offering a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money if this is the case.

You have a point and I agree the coach should. My point is that improving from middle school football isn’t that hard. They are playing well enough to win sec games so I should probably not complain. My gripe is we just need some elite dline guys to keep progressing.

I agree with you, We do need elite DL guys.

What? Lol. There is no guarantee in what you just quoted. It was an opinion. Keep on man lol
The "guarantee" I was referring is about your other bold statement about meeting in public and being a smarta**. Then I asked, who's the internet tough guy now. Are you with me, so far?

About your "opinion"...you flat out said that Rocker "has to go", if we dont land Hardy and Thomas. I made reference to you not knowing what the hell you're talking about, and I stick by it.

This team is playing better now than it has in a looong time (ESPECIALLY the Dline); and STILL you, and others, are calling for people's heads to roll, for some reason or another. Rocker looks at you wrong, you want him gone; Weinke chews gum the wrong way, "FIRE HIM!!!"; Sherrer loses Hardy, to Auburn, the dirtiest player in the game outside Rick Flair, and give that man his walking papers...even though the LBs are playing lights out; Pruitt loses to Ga St( no different than Saban losing to Louisiana whatever; Mullen losing to Alabama St; Ed O losing to Troy; Coach K losing to Stephen F Austin, at home...and on and on and on)...Pruitt has to go, "HAS TO GO!!!" because he sucks!

It's just old, dude...people wanting to fire others at the drop of a hat...again, especially whenever they dont know what the hell they're talking about.

K. I’ve literally said we should replace one coach and that is all if we aren’t landing elite recruits. But I have said that I am fine with keeping all coaches as well because of how we are playing too. Happy either way as long as we are winning and playing well. People can discuss any opinions they like on a message board and have many different opinions. If it isn’t exactly in line with yours, that’s ok but don’t chastise everyone who differs from you. Trying to attack people and act like a somebody gets old. I do hang out with some VFL’s and live walking distance from one. No I don’t keep up with recruiting in and outs and that much about the process, but I do know people who were at Pruitts house this year and in Fulmers box for BYU. If you think that they aren’t talking about upgrading our program in every possible way, including maybe coaching changes, then you don’t know what you are talking about. Last post on it. I think you are a good poster but no need to come at people like you do.

He isn’t omnipresent. We need more
We'll just put him on the most important like the 2 DWs and HT. The rest can hold their own after we start winning which we have but may have to wait until next year for that to have an effect. If we were 8 and 3 right now we would not be having this conversation. The coaches are not omnipotent either.

Most private schools have scholarships or set tuition based on incomes.
