I agree with you..it's not my money, but it sucks that it doesn't seem to mean as much to ours, as it does to them...Bamas guys and now UGAs guys are too.

AV has said that UGA "unofficial money" guys buying in to Kirbs is one of the biggest factors in their recruiting success since he got hired. He talked about it a long time ago. The gist of it was that Richt had lost a lot of that support over the years. That Bama system is truly legendary. I'm not sure Ga has to go above the norm, even Saban called that the best/easiest job in all of FB. Plus there's just more in the Atlanta area, quantity alone..
Really hurts that Pruitt is credited with getting them the changes they needed. Ouch.
Well then...we will just keep on losing big guys on the DL to them..We are not going to do what they are at this point. Remember a few years ago it was stated that Georgia was doing blatant stuff like never before. We just don’t need the kind of stain stupid stuff would put in the program and we don’t have the equity with the NCAA or SEC that we had back in the 90’s with guys like Kramer. Never have been like Bama and Auburn in that area and don’t think we ever will.
Where’s our support?
I think that his absence in this thread his very..."concerning"..There has been a direct correlation between our recruiting "success" and the general perception that the coach is competent. When it became clear that Butch wasn't, his classes suddenly dropped. I'd say that was equal parts kids with concerns, negative recruiting, and concerns among the supplemental resource providers. Given the breakdown at the end of last season followed by GS and BYU, there was likely a pause in resource allocation. Finishing the year well will probably open that back up, but it may be too late for the 20 class. I'd expect to see a big uptick in 21, as long as the 20 season continues the strength of 19. But perhaps @Atlanta VOL would like to weigh in though.

if any of y'all think Auburn alum are dumb enough to have a meeting to pay off kids with bags of cash. please. they invented cheating in Alabama, this **** is as elaborate as cartel.I have lots of faith in AV. I have ZERO faith in 17-18 year olds...
...or the parents who accompany those 17-18 year old to the cabin in the woods.

anyway, its everywhere. Hardy was an enigma. i hope. we good here
Or what if we won that game and didn’t grow as a team and finished 5-7?I always go back to the GA state game. Where would we be recruiting wise today if we won that game?
Or is the problem our recruiters?
Or not being dirty enough ($) ?
10 million in the last 7 years to buy out two mediocre coaches. Highest (legitimate) recruiting budget in the country. Nearly two million a year for a coordinator. We want it plenty bad enough. We just aren’t one of the cool schools right now. No Heisman winner, No 1 pick or NCs or even conference championships in 20+ years. Auburn’s had all of those things. We currently play more games on SEC network than CBS. Our time is coming and we have just as many “resources “ as anyone else.
Edit: And we’re going to get Thomas.
