Since Butch keeps being brought up..... The main problem we had with him was his actual coaching. It didn't matter how great a team he had. He could not coach. Pruitt can. Apples to oranges comparison, and Pruitt is the orange.

Yes..... I think we are going to build a solid foundation and then try to compete for championships.... he has already taken the first step and it seems like he has very few straight misses/transfers from his recruits so far.

I hope he gets it right too from a recruiting standpoint. But he won’t be given 6-7 years to figure it out.

Yes, he has started the foundation. Unfortunately, he can't skip the middle part of building. So far he has done well identifying who can play, and transfers like Solomon, Gibbs and Kennedy has me excited for who's next.

And maybe you missed what Phil was doing, or you just have no idea what you’re talking about. Fulmer was recruiting at an Elite level from Day One. Landed the Top QB in his 2nd class.

Also went 10-2 in his FIRST year. So don’t try and push some revisionist history that it was a long slow build. It wasn’t.

I agree with you. Fulmer was on staff and familiar with the players, program, boosters, etc. He also had a former coach in Dickey above him to mentor him and help him along the way with any off the field program issues.

Pruitt has that in Fulmer now as well but the program is in much worse shape and Pruitt I think is a lot greener in some areas than Fulmer was.

Yeah as of right now our class is not impressive but with a strong close we could be close to what we need to be. The new car smell has worn off this thing. Now we need to show results, and we've only just started to prove we can play.

CJP probably just bought himself job security for the remainder of his current deal barring just a massive collapse. Next year needs to show improvement again, and maybe recruiting will reflect that. I was going back over the 2015 class earlier... great class and probably what we should aspire to as of right now.

This all started over someone taking the fatally flawed position that recruiting rankings don’t really mean anything and are just guesses.

Not about the recent win streak the team is on, which has been nothing but fun to watch.
