Two years ago….. my son played at 8 years for Alcoa and was going against Maryville in a scrimmage…..They had a kid that looked 5’5 + and close/over 200 pounds….. my son weighed 85-95 pounds at the time…. I told my son…. Well I bet he is slow….. they ran a sprint before the scrimmage and he won the race….Trying to pump my son up…. I told him that I don’t care how big he is….. hit him as hard as you can every single player and show him you are the tougher player….. he looked up at me and said….. Maybe I won’t have to block him. LOL
