He was in as QB.
Would of Beaten Pitt if Hooker doesn’t fumble or throw the interception.Would have beaten Pitt with Hooker in as QB
Game was winnable because of him. He also was a factor in us not winning. That was the SECOND game of the season. Anybody really believe starting against Bowling Green and a few more snaps against Pitt makes him Mizzou level ready? He wasn’t sharp against Tennessee Tech or Florida either, but that’s where Heupel saw enough to go full in with him.True. A lot of people say, we beat Pitt with Hooker, but he went into the game in either the first quarter or shortly into the second. He played most of the game.
I think the rationale is that had Hooker got all the 1st team reps in fall camp, and started the season getting the whole game against Bowling Green, then we win the game because he is a clear step up over Milton. I don't disagree with that possibility, but who knows, honestly.
Later in the season he keeps that RPO to Wright that got stuffed on 4th and 1, and most likely scores.Would of Beaten Pitt if Hooker doesn’t fumble or throw the interception.
Yes we got screwed by the refs on that 4th down where Hooker undisputedly made the line to gain, but saying that we would of beaten Pitt with Hooker is false, since he did play and had two critical turnovers.
Hooker was not playing at this level. He made massive strides. We didn’t see this version of him until Mizzou and SCWould of Beaten Pitt if Hooker doesn’t fumble or throw the interception.

You can't forget all the wide open receivers early in the game. Heupel had that game schemed up perfectly in the first quarter. I think it's fair to say that Hooker would've hit most of those plays and we would've been looking at another 14 points early in the game. That certainly would've been enough to make a difference, and Pitt might not have had as much fight had they gone down 21+ early in the game. It was a huge missed opportunity because of Milton's struggles.Game was winnable because of him. He also was a factor in us not winning. That was the SECOND game of the season. I’d quibble with the “most” part. He didn’t exactly pick them apart. His biggest gainer was that quick out that Calloway housed. You can't forget all the wide open receivers early in the game. Just remember the Georgia and Florida 3 stars we get are equal to or better than Tennessee 4 stars I promise.
He threw a perfect pass to Warren down the field for a big gain. A lot of those plays early were wide open and hard to miss...unless you're throwing rockets like Milton. I have a hard time believing Hooker would've missed, even when he wasn't playing as well.I’d quibble with the “most” part. He didn’t exactly pick them apart. There were other things going on (e.g. terrible 4th down spot), but just to be clear, when people say we would have beaten Pitt with Hooker, this is what they mean:

-RivalsRivals national recruiting director Adam Gorney along with national recruiting analysts Sam Spiegelman and Ryan Wright, and Austin Price from Volquest.com tackle three topics and determine whether they believe each statement is FACT or FICTION.
-APPrice’s take: FACT. Sure they do. I’ve said for months that the recruitment of Nolen was like a rollercoaster and it will come as no surprise to anyone if it has one more big turn. Texas A&M is very much in the best spot but anytime you have a committed prospect visiting his in-state school just before signing day it is worth taking notice of in some form or fashion. Nolen and his family could easily have shut things down but they are electing to take one more trip to Tennessee after he plays in the state championship game on Friday night.
