The No. 2 player in the Rivals250 may not be as solidly committed as Texas A&M fans would hope. Nolen, a Tennessee native, continues to take visits elsewhere, namely to Tennessee. The Vols hosted the five-star defensive tackle again this past weekend, but it was an official visit this time.

Nolen's recruitment has been a roller coaster and his abrupt commitment to Texas A&M in early November caught some by surprise, even though the Aggies had been the rumored leader. Tennessee has ground to make up, but the Vols are closing the gap.

He’s been recruiting for them for a while. I mean you occasionally see a flip in those situations but I doubt it. I think Tennessee is getting their act together as far as NIL but other schools are further ahead or possibly even in the area of violations on some.

There is a giant gray area between eagle scout and guys like Kiffin and Ed O. It is one thing to push the envelope and walk up to lines and another to prefer to cross the lines and attempt to not get caught. I hope like heck that our current coach can get it done and do it the right way. We will be paying the price for our last guy who did not for quite a while. We shall see if Ole Miss eascapes the Kiffin era without paying a price. Won't have that answer for a while. History is not on their side. Turmoil or faiilure at Oakland, UT, USC and FAU are out there to review after his tenures. UM oddly has gone for the double double of Ed O. and Kiffin. In their blood I guess, if you throw in the Freeze tenure. We have suffered from a string of unsuccessful coaches, thankfully only one guy in that mold. We of course have had Pruitt and Tyndal and on a different plane Bruce. in the department. Even winning can taste bad.
