Three out of the past five NFL Defensive Rookie of the Years are Larry Johnson defensive ends. It's crazy to think one school has 3/5 (actually 4/5😳) let alone all of them being the same position.

He's the best dline coach I'm the country by a country mile and perhaps the best to ever do it.

Doesn't mean other coaches, like RG, can't be the next Larry Johnson.
In no way am I disputing Johnson's greatness, and him maybe being the best there is; he is as elite as elite gets, and most definitely has an argument as the best there is...but, this "firmly" and "country mile" talk is absolutely ignorant (not meaning ignorant in a bad way, or calling anyone names; just saying those who obviously don't know).

I could not find how many all conference or award winners each have coached; but, the info I did find...if this is a country mile, I could jump it...

Johnson has coached eight 1st round draft picks...Garner has coached seven.

Johnson has coached 13 All Americans...Garner has coached 10.

I couldn't find how many D-Linemen Johnson has put into the nfl total, no matter the round; but, Garner has had a total of 30 D-Linemen drafted throughout his career; yes, you read that correctly, 30..that is an astronomical amount. If, and that's a very huge IF, Johnson has had more drafted, I'd bet the farm its not that much more. To put that into perspective, O'Dell Haggins, who's been at FSU for 28 seasons, and considered a top 5 D Line coach in the country, he has put 20, which is a lot, into the nfl...pales in comparison to Garner. Haggins has also had only four 1st rounders. Tracy Rocker has put 15 total in the nfl.

Again, Johnson is great, and maybe the best; but..."firmly"?!?! "Country mile"?!?! Disagree, absolute.

Oh! Almost forgot...Garner also put a TE (Fred Baxter) into the 5th round, back when he was coaching TEs; and, a little ole O Lineman by the name of Chad Clifton into the 2nd round, back when he coached O Line.

Larry Johnson has coached a lot more than 8 first rounders. He had 6 of them before he even got to Ohio State.
Take it up with Ohio State's official bio on him. I believe Young may have made 9. If that is the case, nine is still not a country mile from seven.

From Ohio St Athletic Department's official bio on Johnson...

Johnson has coached eight first-round NFL Draft picks, including the Bosa brothers (Joey in 2016; Nick in 2019). He had five of his players move on to the NFL in one season, after the 2017 campaign, including draft picks Tyquan Lewis, Sam Hubbard and Jalyn Holmes. In addition, four of his players, including Sam Hubbard, have been named first-team Academic All-American.

We are at least in it again. I think our challenges will be too much to overcome, I think he goes to either AL or GA but we aren't out of it.
