'19 TN LB Kane Patterson (Clemson commit)

Apparently, I'm a trash human being for stating that the last charge in this string of charges filed was bs... and it was... bs... he was dropping off his kid that they have joint custody of... by all accounts, he pulled in, let the kid out of the car, left immediately...

God forbid there be two sides to a story... you guys completely lose perspective of sensitive situations like this as soon as you judge the first person to be in the wrong. Dude's a piece of **** for abusing his wife. I 100% agree. There's a history of abuse there... I 100% agree...

They got divorced 4 years ago and no physical abuse has been reported since that I'm aware of... the police have been called like 9 times with no arrests made or charges that stuck... I have no idea what the story was behind all those but if they were BS like this last one obviously was... MAYBE, she's a little quick to hit the 911 on speed dial... I apologize for pointing that out...

Done with this one, lol... you guys get super butthurt super fast over these "women accuse men of doing things" cases...

Agree

Well... that's what super spiteful ex-wife says happened... there's no recordings, proof, or anything of that sort since the divorce (that I read, I may be wrong)... and Lord only knows what she said to put him in a mood where he was "making threats"... it reads like they definitely have zero business being married... So kudos to both parties splitting up!

While they were together she was definitely being abused... I have no doubts... the dude's a total ***hole... and no man ever has an excuse to lay hands on a woman... point blank period... I'm not defending or condoning this dude's actions...

Its the since the divorce she's been petty and spiteful stuff, calling police any chance she can get over minor instances... they have shared custody of the kids... unless you want him to drop the kids off at Starbucks and pick them up 15 minutes apart... she's gonna have to lighten up a little... Waiting in the window for his car to pull up, taking a picture of it, and turning it into police as evidence of trespassing is petty as ****.

I can kinda understand her being petty and spiteful seeing as a grown man beat her repeatedly and seemingly hadnt suffered many consequences from it until recently. The guy was still living the dream, making good money and seen by the general public as a good guy all while supposedly being shielded by his employers. So yeah, in her shoes id be petty as crap as well. Im sure she was also doing as many of these things as possible to try to take away his parental rights as well. Not trying to bring up a logical fallacy here, but to me at least, anyone whos willing to beat his wife may or may not eventually harm the kids and i wouldnt want my offspring around that person either. She was trying to bring him down any way possible. I understand it. She finally got away from him and had some minor power and abilities of her own to turn the tables and make his life hell since she wasnt capable of doing it in a physical manner she went with what she WAS able to do.

100% agree that's why she's doing it... it's just not a good look, I'll leave it at that

All very good points. I would also add that she was pregnant when he "allegedly" beat her so not a stretch to think he would beat his kids too. Also, it wasn't just her. The neighbors reported he was trespassing and spying on her through the window at one point too. And he made threats to her life. That is known. Saying things like "and Lord only knows what she said to put him in a mood where he was "making threats" is blaming the victim and deserves a ton of scrutiny. Calling her a "super spiteful ex-wife" and implying that she was lying or exaggerating also is over the line IMO. Stalking and threatening will likely increase the urge to call the police over minor instances because if she didn't, he had a history of turning those minor things into major things. After all, I don't see anybody denying he beat her. So blaming her for being on edge and quick to call the police on a guy, who beat her when she was pregnant, and was stalking and threatening her is way more Petty and Spiteful than anything she did. IMO.

Have you got a link to an account of the other charges she filed? All I read was there had been numerous allegations filed with police since the divorce but none led to arrests or charges that stuck.

I'm not claiming to have all read all the information here... I was assuming the rest were similar to this last one she filed. If you have a link that isn't her own account of the rest of those, I'd be interested to read it.

....not trying to be a jack*** lol

I posted a timeline of the reported incidents earlier in this thread but I don't know if that's what yer looking for. I don't have a link to all the police reports or anything though. I tend to believe that even if some of the incidents were minor that he had earned them being reported due to his previous actions and threats. Not reporting those things is how they lead to major incidents and women get stuck in those situations and can't get out. IMO.

Records show history of domestic incidents between former Ohio State receivers coach Zach Smith and ex-wife

That's the closest I can find.

There is one physical incident mentioned where he was drunk and she got manhandled and pushed into a wall. She has pictures of where her arm was red and had a large, swelled bruise on the back of her elbow, probably from hitting a door frame. Obviously, that's not OK to do under any circumstance. From the gist of it, they obviously did not get along well and argued constantly. I'm sure he was frequently verbally abusive. Sounds like a total ***hole.

If there's more physical violence that took place on paper... I'm not aware of it... please point me to an article...

Not defense of the dude... just stating to the torch and pitchfork crew here that "beat the **** out of her all the time" does not seem to be an accurate description of their relationship.

I was unaware of the neighbors seeing him peeking through the window thing... that's super creepy, lol

Any time a huge news story breaks and somebody immediately gets fired... there's probably more to it...

Seriously doubt the ball stops there. OSU is actively playing defense so they don't end up with NCAA sanctions ATM... I've seen houses cleaned for less...

BUT...

At the same time... that was one cop-callin b**** wasn't it? Lol, I get the dude was an ***hole, and he probably deserved most of what he got... but she certainly didn't help the situation calling the police in for every little thing after she had had it with him. Dude caught a criminal trespassing charge for dropping his son off, which they have joint custody of, at her apartment.

Zach Smith Subject of Arrest Report For Criminal Trespassing, Appears in Court

That's what stirred all this up...
Did you read McMurphy's piece? Why are you calling her a bitch? I am seriously worried about you.

I didn't call her a bitch... "Cop-callin'-bitch" is a term... the justice system equivalent of a tattle-tale per say... and it was specifically in reference to the latest charge that got filed... I swear... you misword one thing and a post and it's all anybody can focus on haha

Misword one thing? You referred to the victim of physical abuse as a “cop-calling bitch” and then act incredulous and laugh off the push back. Why you feel the need to parse through their clearly toxic and volatile relationship to find some fault with her is abhorrent. **** you.

I don't have to respond to him now. Thank you.

There were also choke marks on her neck were he was choking his PREGNANT wife. That one incident is enough for me to say he should've probably been arrested. I would venture to say that wasn't the only time he "manhandled" her. That is generally something that happens more than once especially with someone like him who apparently has temper problems. That is admittedly an assumption on my part but generally speaking domestic violence happens many times before it gets reported. And it would be super weird that the first time he crossed that line physically would be while she was pregnant.

You claim to not be defending him but I don't know why you feel the need to attack the victim if you are not trying to defend him.

Why don't you all take this to off topics thread and return this thread to Kane Patterson?

what would you like to discuss about him? He is still committed to the snake man...

And you chose to take that hill knowing that he's not getting hammered over that but what he should have years ago.

If you get your "e" teeth kicked in over that idea, so be it.

I gotta say, I love the feature where I don't see the posts of the guys I have on ignore. Great job Freak. On the other hand, I'm sure there are guys who don't have to see my posts also. This feature is a win for everyone. Carry on guys.
I can't see this cause I'm ignoring you.

Welp...

Not going to be having any more conversations about sensitive topics on here...

I'm not going to defend myself... I really respect Geaux on here and he just said "**** you" at me............ That kind of stung.

For the record... I've been consistent in every post...
1) Men should never lay hands on a woman for any reason (I don't know why Sleegro keeps emphasizing that she was pregnant like that makes the never acceptable thing LESS acceptable?)
2) The guy in question is clearly an ***hole
3) Their relationship was clearly toxic and volatile
4) He clearly physically abused her at least once

I don't know why we can't talk about things without people getting so riled up, but I'm good on it now and I'm sorry that my opinion on a thing isn't 100% in line with you guys'

/end of rant

Because you keep attacking the victim. It's not that hard to understand. And yes something that's never acceptable, can be even worse when done to a pregnant woman. Beating a woman can do a lot of physical and mental damage. Beating a pregnant woman can cause a miscarriage. So I would say that yeah, it's worse. And speaks to the mentality of a man who is willing to do that to a woman carrying his baby. He was willing not only to hurt his wife, who you alluded to not being completely innocent, but he was willing to risk his own unborn child. Who I don't think anyone would try to spin blame on hopefully. So yeah, maybe you should avoid topics like this if you are at all worried what any of us anonymous posters on the internet think of you.

Now I’m even more sure of my decision to ignore that poster. He tries to bolster his depravity with logic and reason to come off as a level headed thinker, but in reality he’s just a douche.

The 247 Article regarding Urban's inconsistent handling of these case in the past has gotten well over 60 comments - always fun to watch UF, OSU, and Meatchicken fans get into a ruckus. One of them even said "...We are going to resemble a Tennessee discussion soon..."

That may be the scariest thing in movie history. Thought so as a kid, and...I'm not ashamed...pretty scared now as a 40 yr old man. Thanks a lot, newt!
