TN OL Chris Morris (Texas A&M commit - Now JUCO)

My own question made me take a look at our roster. We only have like 11 scholarship seniors. How do we sign a class of 25?
That will work it’s way out easy enough. We have plenty of players that don’t meet what Pruitt wants. Some will leave on their own, some will be asked to.

Points taken. Glad we only have to deal with Saban and the East. I’m not sure we could handle the West. Hopefully recruits understand this 😏

Have you watched us play the last ten years? We most certainly couldn’t handle being in the west over the last ten years., LSU, bama, Auburn, Mississippi state and the aggies woulda beat the ish out us. What side of the SEC you play in matters, it always has. Recruits know this.

I’m sure Morris understands Jimbo and the Aggie’s dilemma. Should be a no-brainer if he’s watched the SEC since he was 7.
😏

You make that smirk as if Chris Morris hasn’t been watching football his whole life. I’m pretty sure a top tier level recruit knows it’s gonna be hard to win big at A&M in the foreseeable future given what the SEC west is. It’s not meant to throw shade at the east and I think u know that. I just think recruits notice that it will be easier to make a run to Atlanta through the east then it is via the west division at this point in time.

I believe UT is as tough as the west due to playing Bama every year. We are the only team in the country that could potentially play Bama 3 times in a season. Media Days is talking up the East today, not that I believe everything. I think our points were misunderstood from the beginning. You make some valid points.

Not necessarily. Georgia is on the up and Saban will retire before most these kids graduate.

No insider knowledge but I think we ultimately land Morris. I think Morris is the recruit that we put on the back burner while pursuing Tate Ratledge and we fell behind after being in a lead position for Morris. I think we pull Morris, Thomas, and Eason from West Tennessee.

I don't see how we can stop recruiting Memphis, but it never seems like we have better than a 50/50 shot at best. It seems like Jackson is the line that you go past and the odds start dropping.

Also, Memphis is a waste of time.

Recruiting Memphis will never be a slam dunk, but if we start showing consistent improvement in the "W" column over the next few seasons, I have a feeling that we will start having an easier time recruiting that area. Whether recruits are from Memphis or Knoxville, they've never seen UT have sustained football success in their lifetime--that's the underlying issue. Once we worn turns, I think in-state recruiting will be much different.

There have been at least 5 years of talk of Saban leaving. Ever since they didnt three peat as champs.

Saban isn't leaving until he wins atleast 2 more NC's. He passes Bryant with the most NC's at Alabama with 2 more and his ego won't let him retire until then. Not saying he retires the minute he wins the last 2, but he's not going anywhere until he wins atleast 2. With what Dabo has built at Clemson it could be a few yrs before he wins 2 more. Don't see Ala beating Clemson this yr.
