Take em both just in case things get nuts and hope we just have to take five and not lose anyone...
“My thing is that my kids all go to a University of Michigan game in the Big House,” Mrs. Colson said proudly. “That’s something that I’ve done with each of our kids so far, usually when they’re in high school. And (last summer) I thought, ‘if he’s going to go to all of these camps, he needs to go the University of Michigan camp’s just for the experience. It’s The University of Michigan!”
“Our (message) is pretty much the same for any of the schools,” Mrs. Colson said. “’We don’t really care where you play on Saturdays, and we don’t really care how expensive it is to get there. We’re going to be there. And that’s really pretty much that simple. We’ll find a way to get there. I have plenty of vacation time, so if I have to take Friday off to drive or to fly that’s just what we’re going to do.”
s. webbTennessee is working hard to make those weekend trips as short as possible. His bond with the staff in Knoxville is a major lure.
“The linebacker coach is great,” Mrs. Colson said. “I know he’s only going to be at school for three or four years, but I certainly don’t want him with a coach that I think they’re going to (clash). And I feel like the linebacker coach is probably a really good fit for Junior.”
Great parents. Not only for adopting him but having the right attitude about his recruitment. You can tell they would love for him to be at Michigan but they ultimately just want him to be happy and in a good situation. If he decides to go to Michigan, then good for them. That's one recruitment that will be handled the right way.s. webb
That’s bc Johnny was coaching for his job he got fired after that game. He's one of my all time favorite Vols. Always gave his best. You need to watch the 1992 game at South Carolina where we lost but not because of him. He put that team on his back culminating in a catch and run late in the game where he ran through 8 SC players before he scored. We went for 2 to win rather than tie (strange for Majors who usually was willing to take the tie) and Little Man Stewart was stuffed. So that effort is forgotten, but if we had won it would be considered one of the greatest plays in Tennessee history.
