Though I try to forget, I still remember all the “diamonds in the rough” during the Dooley years.

From my experience, it really depends on the company and level you are seeking early in your career.A degree is a degree, nobody cares where it's from smh
I agree. I think he gets overlooked and viewed as a offer to get the other two, but McDonald was going to be playing in the SEC regardless of the other 2.I kinda got high hopes for McDonald. I know I read somewhere that he might be the best out of the M3 eventually.
The loudest roars I have ever heard in Neyland were big defensive plays. One that really stands out is Reggie White meeting that LSU running back just as he was taking the hand off.Favorite D alltime 85 Bears, I thought they were going to kill some QB's. I remember them hitting a Dallas QB (D White I think) and I hollered and told the wife "I think they broke his freakin' neck" I LOVE some D and can't wait to see the hits.
When Barnett had that flurry of sacks against Florida the year Butch won in Neyland, I’ve never screamed so loud . . .The loudest roars I have ever heard in Neyland were big defensive plays. One that really stands out is Reggie White meeting that LSU running back just as he was taking the hand off.
What Wilber Marshall did to Joe Ferguson is a federal crime these days.Favorite D alltime 85 Bears, I thought they were going to kill some QB's. That season he was quarterbacking Detroit. Marshall sacked him so hard he lost consciousness and never returned that season iirc. Yeah Marshall signed as a restricted free agent with the Redskins and they coughed up two first rounders. Which we turned into all time greats Wendell Davis and Brad Muster. That year with the Bears was his pinnacle. Vince Tobin used 4-3 OLB’s as read and react contain as did most 4-3 schemes like the Redskins. Remain convinced he’d have been HOF as a 3-4 edge.Former Bills QB ? Wilbur was a beast, tho. Didn't he get another ring with the Redskins ?

Mose Phillips was teaching at Hillsboro High School in Nashville when I was there (between '05-'08). He was a really nice guy and liked by everybody. He was coaching at Hillwood High School the last I heard, but of course that was 12 years ago.Speaking of '85, what about the D stuffing Bo Jackson and then #1 Auburn. Crowd was incredible.
But loudest I ever heard was that '92 Florida game in torrential downpour. (Freak actually mentioned this game 3 weeks ago.) Heath Shuler hits Mose Phillips out in the right flat and he takes it 66 yards. Our seats are between the 35 and 40 in Section C so the whole thing happens right in front of us. A friend of mine was in the end zone that Mose ran to and it was raining so hard they couldn't see the beginning of the play, but they could hear the crowd exploding as it became apparent it was going to be a big play. Said it was like the crowd was doing the wave on steroids as Mose would come into view. Then later Spurrier runs a fake punk from inside his own 30 in total desperation and we stuff it.
It rained so freaking hard. We had the artificial turf with those huge drains behind the benches and they couldn't handle the water flow. The harder it rained, the louder the crowd got. Almost like a monsoon. (But there is nothing to equal a real monsoon, I was in the Philippines during monsoon season and there's nothing like that. Would be sitting in the cockpit waiting to taxi out and couldn't even see my own wingtips. Would just have to sit there until it quit because you couldn't see above minimums for takeoff.)

He's one of my all-time favorite Vols. The TD he scored against uSC that gave us a chance to win, the year we lost after Majors came back, is one of the greatest runs ever.He coaches and teaches at Caine Ridge now.
