I wasn't making a case for or against Lampley. You were saying that a lifetime Vol should commit and shut it down. The Mays family would be considered a Vol family and Cade had shut it down until he didn't. I'd just rather not put a kid's words to a reporter under the microscope and dissect them.

Sooo? Cade didn’t shut it down? Why is this related to Lampley...or my point? :huh: Bama had a couple of in-state linemen shut down their recruitment after committing. I was expressing a desire for a legacy recruit to do the same.

Cade did too and we see how that ended up. My point is nothing is final until the signature dries so why do we care what words he tells a reporter?

Not speaking for anybody else but I “care” because when one is trying to form an epic class, your first commit (and a legacy one at that) reinforcing the uselessness of recruiting him speaks loudly to the other recruits. I notice it from the best peer recruiters in other schools classes and I selfishly want it for my favorite team. No “we”...me. Let’s mutually accept not accepting the other’s opinion on this one. :hi:
