Nope. We need difference makers on the lines of scrimmage. This kid is a project.

It appears he is a risk/reward guy that the staff thinks has a POTENTIAL ceiling worth a shot. They have had a chance to see him up close and personal and are in better position to look at him and his play at that level of football and project THAT ceiling. Not many guys at that height arrive as difference makers. How do they rate his intangibles? SO, I will go with them till he demonstrates a lack of progress towards meeting their expectations.

He’s another project lineman they are taking that will have a tough time contributing until year 4-5

i can't recall where i read, huep said talent between this sr class and last years class isnt great. so we are in for a wait and see.

His hudl film is also unimpressive. In particular, I noted the level of competition and his physicality. As I put it, he looks like a real reach to me. Of course, I'm Mr. Wrong....even my wife said so....but she married me anyway.
None of what you said appears on his film.

He plays with aggression and agility.

IMO. Oline is the hardest position to project from high-school to college. NFL is full of Olinemen from mid tier colleges. All of which were over looked in high-school.
Unfair comparisons. You are trying to compare a guy who has had anywhere from 3-5 years of experience vs him coming out of high school. It’s like say look how many 3* are in the NFL. They were 3* coming directly out of HS and developed into better players. The NFL is also full of OL from Bama, UGA, Clemson and OSU.

Have you let Heup and Elarbee know about this? I'm sure they would love to hear your take.
I’m sure Heup and Elarbee are penciling in Perry as a rotation guy in his first two years. Thats not a controversial take
