'25 TN QB George MacIntyre (Tennessee commit)

Probably need to continue the dance with both as any internal ranking could change as the season goes on. Their preference could change too.
As in the Trevor Lawrence/Justin Fields Trevor Lawrence/Justin Fields class.

As in the Trevor Lawrence/Justin Fields Trevor Lawrence/Justin Fields class.

Never heard it discussed, but could there be any Vandy centric VOL bad vibes with this kid's Vandy legacy? I know not everybody has Cafego level ingrained opponent hate, but still........ Has it been kicked around? Having grown up in the shadow of Neyland I left town to attend Belmont right down the street from Vandy and found a lot of pretty serious big brother hate among their loyals.

Why do we always fart around and end up losing both?
Doesn't happen with QBS under Huep.

Knight and Macintyre go head to head later this season. Deuce played for an awful team.
Now that he's at Lipscomb that's not an issue.

I think Duece will be the best player on the field regardless of class that game.
He plays against IMG Academy in 18 days.
Then a Top 75 team in Sarland Alabama who has the # 1 ranked WR in his same class.
Basically he'll have a plenty of opportunites to earn that 5th star

Macintyre is a MUST GET IMO. You simply cannot let the #11 nationally ranked player commit elsewhere. He lives and plays HS ball right in TNs backyard. He has future 5* written all over him. This would be a huge miss if we lost him.

Maybe, maybe not. I am not sure how the staff has him and the other leading candidate ranked on the war room wall. Judgemental delcarative statements before they play their senior seasons is a bit of a reach. Especially when the other candidate APPEARS to be playing this season in the same backyard. Heck, Nico's little bro might seriously get into the analysis. Just glad we are ON their lists.

Honestly, if we get a QB the caliber of GM or DK in the class immediately following Merk and 2 after Nico, that’s a home run.

I know AP feels different, but there just seems to be a lot of momentum with GMAC and Bama.

What does “must get” even mean? What happens if we don’t get him, does the program fall apart. I think people put too must stock in comments like that. In this day and age that even means less than it use to with the portal.

Nothing’s impossible, but he didn’t exactly have a Cafego journey. Played at the University of Miami and bounced around for 19 years…never staying longer than 3 seasons at any stop until Vandy. Peaked in 1982, but did get FIRED after 7 seasons. Obviously enjoyed the Nashville area, but we’ve witnessed their brand loyalty when taking over that stadium. At least he had a victory over the Vols…never beat Bama.
