I’d say he’s properly rated. Like James Franklin. Outside of their own athletic departments, that is.

Nobody truly expects them to win a NC. But they’ll win games.

He just doesn’t design good plays. And he runs way too much. This year Alabama was 84th in the country in rushing rate over expected. With that, their epa per rush ranked 43rd in the country. Essentially, they’re rushing way too much and they aren’t rushing well even while they have a good running QB. Likewise, bama’s epa on early downs ranks 61st in the country, which to me illustrates that he’s not creative and he settles for getting into 3rd down situations way too often. I haven’t looked back at ND’s numbers from last year but I expect them to be even worse. All to say that he’s just not good at designing and then helping his players execute a good offense

I am not saying that we will get both, because I know very little about GMac. I have watched Madden enough to think if he wants to play at Tennessee, he will commit to Tennessee and make his claim with hard work every day and his play on the field, regardless of who else is committed or competing. That is just my impression. TIFWYTIW
