He’s definitely one of the top QB’s in this class.I think many are interpreting any comment about George not playing up to his five star billing he was given a year ago as “giving up on him”. Quite the contrary. I just think it’s time to adjust expectations. He is probably not a generational or top QB in a class type of guy. But he can still be a developmental guy with tons of upside, lots of tools - but it’s not generational potential like we see with Nico or Faizon.
It no way are folks on here “giving up”. It’s just an observation (and opinion at that), and it’s all gonna be ok. Hope the best for the kid.
Listen, I hate the realists, the nega's, the legion of the miserable as much as anyone. My record is pretty clear on that, as anyone who reads my posts can attest. However, my record is also clear on this...imo, posters like you and @VolFreakJosh are, in every way, as lousy as the miserables. You're sh!t-posters, imo, that bring absolutely zero to this board. Anyone who wants sunshine pumped up their ass 24/7, and look to pounce on someone, EACH and EVERYTIME, they think Heupel should have went left whenever he went right...you can find the door with the BVSer's, if I had my way. Sometimes, a spade is a spade.Question are you at BA practices and know their offense like the coaches and players do? Because WRs running wrong routes or OL not blocking their assignment are things you have no clue about by “just watching” usually. While you are not being a “nega” by stating your opinion that doesn’t mean it won’t be questioned knowing what I have seen from him his sophomore year when he had a good team around him.
It wasn't just one play, met. I just used that one as an example. It was multiple times. The play you’re referencing of him screaming at a teammate, then throwing a pick the next play, is because they got a delay of game right after the blocked punt because a teammate wasn’t paying attention and ready to run onto the field @SugarCC
I’m only referencing the play you did. He didn’t look good last night by any means but I personally didn’t see leadership issues as someone that was on the sideline, but I do know tv has a better view from that standpointIt wasn't just one play, met. I'm chalking it up to the kid, and the team just having a bad night, and it showed. His composer, his poise failed him a few times last night. I'm not ready to run him out of town for it, though. It happened, move on.
Agreed. I was hoping we’d get Deuce from the startDidn't see the game, so my opinion has nothing to do with Gmac's performance in his last game, However, I felt we made a mistake when we passed on Deuce. He really wanted to come here ,and now he will probably go to Auburn. I have always thought that dual threat QB's make it so much more difficult for the opposing defense.
Is “composer” the new “pocket presents”?It wasn't just one play, met. I just used that one as an example. It was multiple times.

And, maybe me saying "leadership" is...idk, confusing some. That's on me. While I do believe it's part of leading, I'm speaking more to his poise, composure. From watching on tv, you could see him losing it.I’m only referencing the play you did. Happy with GMAC but I too questioned if we chose the wrong one. Really like Knights game. Reminds me of HendonDidn't see the game, so my opinion has nothing to do with Gmac's performance in his last game, However, I felt we made a mistake when we passed on Deuce. He really wanted to come here ,and now he will probably go to Auburn. Composer seems to be big to you. Who you got? Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Chopin? It wasn't just one play, met. I just used that one as an example. It was multiple times.

210 is being generous for a couple of those kidsI’m sorry but all the leadership skills in the world won’t make 210 Olinemen block any better.
Guy seems to attract top flight talent with his personality everywhere he goes. I’m going to worry about the tangibles and intangibles when he gets here. This isn’t pissing on the opinion of anyone that saw him and shared either; we just expect a lot of kids earlier now. Some are further along in their journey than others.
I played college and pro.Try explaining that to LittleVol who has prob only played a few snaps of football in his life and thinks QBs are superheroes
I mean, on defense they flat out got manhandled. I was thinking that they were lucky to be in the game. Macintyre had some nice throws that I thought would fit well in Heups scheme. I dont get it.For comparison here is the C and RG compared to CPA and one ref lol
