'25 TN QB George MacIntyre (Tennessee)

The staff doesn’t care about how a HS QB performs. Tayven Jackson, Merk, and GMac… none of them lit it up in high school.

Heup is insanely confident in his ability to develop QBs. As he should be.
Jake Merklinger threw for almost 10,000 yards and over 100 TDs in his HS career. Also added over 1000 yards rushing, and 31 TDs. His Sr year alone, he threw for over 3000 yards and 38 TDs, with only 2 INTs, and rushed for almost 500 yards and 11 more scores, while averaging almost 7 yards per carry.

Brightly lit, imo.

My brother in Christ, neither one of those kids on BA even sniff 6 foot tall and are under 200lbs. The offensive line at Lawrence County is bigger than those 2 kids

You sound salty as hell lol
Salty? Did I disagree with what you said? My point is the players at CPA are 2-3 years older than most players on others teams and play in a smaller class for a reason. Not salty at all just informed

I don’t care anything about CPA. The point of my initial post was to signify how SMALL the C and RG for BA are

Full disclosure, I’m going off of memory which isn’t saying a lot lol

But the point stands with the other 2 at least
To be fair, as it relates to the other two, Tayven Jackson washed out at Tennessee and has been less than impressive at IU, and GMac has done nothing on the field to inspire confidence to this point.

CPA was a good team, and I don’t know who the coach is for BA but that dude doesn’t have an ounc of creativity on offense.

Ground hog Day??

That’s a cut up of George’s game. Kid has an arm, but that is the most vanila game plan I’ve seen in a while.

Still George could have controlled CPA better by using his legs and making that interior defense respect his running abilities. He has some growing game to do for sure

Almost like the guy that coached Sam Bradford, Drew Lock, McKenzie Milton, Dillon Gabriel and Hendon Hooker knows what he’s doing.
Also recruited Jordan Love to Utah State when no one else wanted him. Heup was the only one that saw his potential coming out of high school. Dude has an eye for QB talent unlike these arm chair coaches in this thread.

This should be a clear indication on why worrying about G-Mac’s performance is dumb.
What because AP said something?.

Heupel also chose Milton over Hendon Hooker.

You all act like people can't make mistakes 😐

Is this kid a mistake? Too early to tell.
Did he play a bad game? Yup! Nobody is perfect all the time. That includes GMAC and damn sure Josh Heupel.

Not all of it was his fault. Receivers dropped 4 passes. And the play calling was absolute crap! But GMAC still didn't control the defense with his eyes or his legs.

You're not "against" a kid or coach for being critical of their performance.

Stop acting like children....

He does have an eye for talent and a strong hand at administration as well. All around a good coach

Who still chose Joe Milton over Hendon Hooker...

People make mistakes.

Way to early to call GMAC a bust, but it's perfectly fair to say he had a bad game when in FACT he had a bad game...

Did he make a mistake though? It was well known that Hooker wasn't performing well in practice up to that point which is why he rolled with Milton first. He even stated that lol. Hooker at some point just started clicking after that Pitt game. But assume what you want.

What if people just gave an honest assessment of his performance without others imputing “worry”?

He didn’t play well. It’s okay to say that. He has had a lot of games in which he didn’t play well over the last 2 years. It’s okay to say that too. Heupel likes him a lot and obviously thinks he can mold him.

All of those things can be true. Some of y'all take it personally when a true assessment is given of a performance, as if it’s an indictment of what he’ll do under Heupel. It isn’t. No one said it is.

His team looked meh. He looked fine to me. Very good zip on the ball. Moved in the pocket well. The int wasn't his fault.
He's got the tools...............There's just something missing.

BA has 6 D1 prospects in the class of '25. They should be better than 2-8 last year and 0-1 this year.

I do think he will be a great college QB at UT, if CJH can figure out the missing link...........I think it's leadership and drive.

JMO, and some others close to the program.

The same can be said to you. When you give an OPINIONATED assessment on a player you have to put up with other people's opinion as well. Also, you can put any other QB in 25 class behind that offensive line, inconsistent WR play and terrible offensive calling and guess what the results would be the same. To judge the talent of this kid because of the talent he plays with is not the smartest move IMO
