Yeah, I’ve said for awhile now that I think Merk/Gmac will be like our Milton to Nico (Brandon) transition.

Don’t care who starts, but we know Hype loves playing guys that knows his system. GMac might have 3-4 games under his belt and that’s it.

I personally hope Merk starts and plays the whole season. I can definitely see Brandon overtaking both.

I think Brandon is the most talented QB Tennessee will sign since Peyton Manning. That’s why I think he’ll eventually play as a freshman. Just can’t keep talent like that off the field.

Complete 180 from before coach Heup got here. We were hoping to have one serviceable QB out of the whole room, and now it looks like we will be choosing the best of 3 great options.

Peyton wouldn’t have played his freshman year if Colquitt didn’t go down and Helton hadn’t gotten dinged up and bowed out of the sport.

He would've beaten out Helton eventually, whether Helton got hurt or not. Manning was better than Helton within 1 game of starting. No, he wouldn't have beaten out Colquitt, but Colquitt was a REALLY good QB. In spite of his injury, he was still drafted by the Panthers.

a) Brandon won't have a 5th year senior with Colquitt's ability to beat out.
b) Kids are more advances now as freshmen than they were in 1994. Brandon will come in ahead of where Manning/Stewart were in 1994.
