So that means the rankings are not accurate at all?
They were al four stars or better (top 20)...........I don’t think anyone other than you expects the 20th best QB in the nation to have a high success rate. Why are you doing top 20? Seems the top five had an amazing success rate including 2 first round picks
But is that because the players are that much better or are the ratings higher because the better teams are going after them? Which cam first the chicken or the egg?
Alabama has had the largest PAYROLL for players since Saban 2nd year. Ga has had the 2nd highest payroll for many years. The rankings do have some correlation to on-field performance, but the waters are a little muddier right now.
The best teams are typically the ones with the best recruiting classes. You also have a few teams up in the rankings that are good because they have staffs that are really good at evaluating prospects and developing them. Those programs are probably going to see a boost from COVID just because there has been more "hidden" talent out there due to a lack of camps and you're basically going to see two recruiting cycles (2021 and 2022 classes) where a lot of big time players get overlooked by some of the elite programs.
That's not to say that Alabama and UGA don't have great evaluations, but they can mostly fill up on the known elite prospects and not take the guy they think could be really good but just doesn't have the offers and publicity.

Clemson pays well as do most WINNING programsI see you seem to spout the same nonsense in multiple threads about money. If it was all about money, why couldn’t either Bama or UGA get Trevor Lawrence or Clowney? Or Nkemdiche or Gary? What about Roland Powell? Or Dorial Green Beckham? Why couldn’t they get Korey Foreman
They are that much better. Hence the results of finishing in the top 5 every year. But is that because the players are that much better or are the ratings higher because the better teams are going after them? Which cam first the chicken or the egg?
I just watch his first 5 game highlights and the way he scrambles away for his life cracks me up. Like a terrified kid until he gets north south then he has legit wiggle. I'm not going to enjoy watching that after Bryce Young is gone.
Because other schools have money tooI see you seem to spout the same nonsense in multiple threads about money.
