'25 TN RB Daune Morris (Tennessee)

Smith is a great prospect and you may well be right.

A big reason I call Morris the best “playmaker” Heupel has signed as a recruit is his versatility. He’s not only a dynamic all purpose RB who is very fast and cat-like quick, but he’s also a fantastic slot receiver. He can track the deep ball or he can catch short passes and go the distance.

He makes plays from so many different places and is always a threat to take it to the house. His skill set in Heupel’s offense would be a match made in heaven.

I hope we end up signing him so we can actually have this discussion about him as a signee.
After Seldon I'm gunshy with it because Seldon was talked about in a similar mold as Deebo. I hope you are right though because that only means good for us.

we have to play the younger players

If it were me I would bump him now. I get holding back until this year with how small he was then but he's grown. He's never going to have the most weight on him but he has decent size you can work with this season. Like you kinda mentioned, I doubt he'll ever be that guy in pass pro which could make things interesting but he can do everything else at an above average level at the least. If you can just get him to chip well maybe

Guys like Sampson and Blake Corum were small guys out of high school, both added weight, and both learned pass pro. Morris will need to do so, as well, but no reason he can’t.

I think people forget the caveats with these recruits. Seldom was not primarily a RB in HS, so he is still learning the position. Matthews was a raw WR coming out of HS, which is why uga wanted him on defense. He is a damn good safety, but he wanted to play WR. It takes time for some to learn a new position.

Who is Seldom? Seems we've rarely spoken of this person.

Seldon has barely had his chance yet. Not faulting the staff for that, just sayin.
He’s been injured this year. Had shoulder surgery, and I rlly think it put him behind the 8 ball. Next year I think he has a lot more opportunities. I just hope he stays committed and has a chip on his shoulder for next year.
