'25 TN RB Daune Morris (Tennessee)

Elite between the tackles, elite speed, lateral agility A++, can bust the outside, great route runner out of the backfield/slot and can catch the ball. Pass pro needs some work but that’s the only deficit imo.

Not sure what else you want besides the industry recruiting web$ite$ giving him another arbitrary star

For him to be committed to UT 😁

As a recruit, absolutely. It's not even close. Sampson has developed into a great RB, but he didn't show what Morris has shown in high school. Maybe Morris never develops like Sampson. Maybe he develops further. That much is unknown. But as seniors in high school, Morris is a better prospect. And no, that's not a stretch at all.
Sampsons HS film was impressive. So no it’s not even close.

If it were me I would bump him now. I get holding back until this year with how small he was then but he's grown. He's never going to have the most weight on him but he has decent size you can work with this season. Like you kinda mentioned, I doubt he'll ever be that guy in pass pro which could make things interesting but he can do everything else at an above average level at the least. If you can just get him to chip well maybe

Travis Smith imo takes that crown

Smith is a great prospect and you may well be right.

A big reason I call Morris the best “playmaker” Heupel has signed as a recruit is his versatility. He’s not only a dynamic all purpose RB who is very fast and cat-like quick, but he’s also a fantastic slot receiver. He can track the deep ball or he can catch short passes and go the distance.

He makes plays from so many different places and is always a threat to take it to the house. His skill set in Heupel’s offense would be a match made in heaven.

I hope we end up signing him so we can actually have this discussion about him as a signee.

Let the backs handle business this week and I bet he’s ours
The season Sampson is having has to have made an impact on Morris. Similar type RBs. DSamp is up to 201 lbs. now, but as a recruit he was listed at 5-9, 180.

I see you’re pretty high on Morris. He’s good. A definite take if he wants in.

If you get a chance, watch the Ravenwood vs Oakland game. The hlights are on YouTube.
Being 100% honest. Tutt looked like the better RB. He’s a DB at the next level, and a damn good one, but man that kid is explosive when he cuts.

Morris seams to be battling injuries too…

He would instantly be the best playmaker in this class (and I say that with the utmost respect for Radarius Jackson). Probably the best playmaker Heupel has signed. Ranking him a 3* is absurd.

He’s perfect for this offense too.
If he can't block, he's not going to play. Sampson developed into a good blocker.

I like Tutt a lot, and you’re right, he’s a Safety at the next level. He and Morris are 2 different styles. Morris is almost a hybrid between Sampson and Squirrel. He could be a slot at UT. Tutt is a more traditional RB.

And yeah, Morris is dealing with an ankle, as I understand it. Hope we get he and Tutt both. I think we will.

Morris film definitely looks good. But I don’t see what some of you are. Boo Carters film looked better imo. Inn no do think he would be a very good player for us though. Hopefully we can flip him.
