'27 TN RB David Georges

It was the OL right? What makes it worse is he had Harry Hiestand and Sam Pittman as OL coaches, two guys who went on to do incredible stuff at Notre Dame and Georgia
Yeah it was the OL. And I have to give Butch some credit. Dooley destroyed instate recruiting relationships which Butch had to rebuild. I mean no wonder our OL play was so bad during Dobbs time here.

Yes but I don't see anyone getting both Hiter and DGG so who would choose between the 2?

With Bishop, Sheldon, Lewis and 25 class will he sit for maybe 2 seasons?
There’s having numbers at a position. And then there’s “viable “ depth.

Seldon is a question mark.
Keith might not fit our offense as well as some of our other backs. I like both from a talent standpoint, but neither has really made their mark at Tennessee yet.

So really you have Bishop and Lewis for 2025.
And a true freshman in Baker and Hopefully Morris. Not so deep when you think about it.
And Morris has to commit-sign- and the get healthy. He’s been injured this season.

And unless I’m missing something, it looks like neither Morris nor Baker are EEs. So only Lewis and Bishop in the spring if Seldon/Keith depart. Seldon really should stick around.

That's what I thought. I've been wondering why everybody has been wringing their hands over it.

I also mentioned prior to the UK game that if Seldon doesn’t go back to return kicks against Kentucky, that’s a sign he may be redshirting and transferring because he’s played the max # of games he can play and still redshirt and he wasn’t on the injury report. Then he didn’t play.

Brent Hubbs also said the same thing in the VQ postgame pod. It’s speculation, but it’s legitimate speculation.

Correct so we are assuming Sampson is gone after the season which I believe is the correct assumption.

NIL Say he decides to come back, do we still have depth issue?
Next season
Sampson
Bishop - another season of experience
Lewis - another season of experience
Seldon? - one probably leaves
Keith? - one probably leaves
Baker
Morris? RS get healthy if he signs
(Playing the advocate)

I'm don't know Hiter's game is he a power back or versatile back, I feel DGG can do both.
Personality wise would he mind sitting waiting his turn, however Sims might go with best man over upperclassmen.

I'm just making a statement if we get a Elite back in 26 I think we lose out on Elite back in 27, I hope I'm wrong.

@swchandler1988

I’m not Brent Hubbs BTW.

And of course I don’t expect an apology from you.

I don’t see why Seldon would leave. I’m not giving up on him yet, he’ll be a star here one day.
I can tell you why.

Because he isn’t going to ever practice to the ability that Heupel requires his players to practice in order to gain his trust.

So he can stay on the roster. Maybe get a National Championship ring and secure a good transfer to somewhere that fits his personality better.

Kid was slated to be RB2 before the injury
