'19 TN RB Eric Gray

the same people who are saying we dont need a player like gray will be the first ones to claim him as their favorite player if he comes here and rushes for 1500 yards. these same numnuts are the ones who are saying "if we have to pay a QB 8 million we dont want him. we would rather have a two star who wants to be here"

This 100000%!!!

This is a truly amazing thread. If he can help the team, the team will accept him, and the staff are willing to coach him... then why get all bent out of shape over ASSUMPTIONS about why he left? We don't know. Many of us suspect he was part of the Pruitt mess but we DO NOT KNOW. The team likely does. Heupel and the AD know. So if they ultimately want him back... I'll cheer and hope he becomes as good as we all hoped 2 or 3 years ago.

He can definitely come back now that the investigation was over. From everything I've heard, he didn't want to leave. Don't really any trouble from him. Any player would take money and extra benefits. Doesn't make them headcases. I would take him back in a heartbeat.
The NCAA hasn’t even begun a formal inquiry the last I heard. I can guarantee even if they have by now they haven’t concluded investigation of anything. Last I heard UT was still internally investigating everything. He won’t be back.

Personally yeah I think he’s better than what we have currently. But doesn’t change reality

Reminder we can discuss our perceptions about football and its players and not be bent out of shape.
We used to be able to disagree in America without one side casting aspersions without realizing they're trying to project virtuousness
Really the opposite. Makes people not even want to discuss things.
I could take him or leave him. That shouldn't evoke an emotion within you to proclaim on a football board that we, of differing viewpoints, are ignorant people just making assumptions.
Impressed with his speed and unimpressed with how easy he goes down is my impression in my limited data set on him. Could explode under Hype, could continue to be finger tackled

Pretty well sums it in all regards IMO.

I just don’t see the appeal.
He made the choice let him live with it.

I don't think he's capable of coming here and rushing for 1500 yds. If he does come here and do that, I'll admit I'm wrong. I don't really see the appeal of bringing him back based on what he did at OU.

Disagree, not a world beater, but wasn’t terrible. Put in some good reps, is a young player and had injury.

Very unfair assessment. Oh, and I’d like to see him at LB
I don’t think he really cares that much about being a really good football player….just using it as a means to get a free education.

Not saying you’re wrong, but curious what makes you think that?
Can’t remember the details now but just the way my guy use to talk about him…. He is never going much time at running back here…. Not really interested in other positions…. Seems content and not thinking about to another program where he could get more playing time.

Lol. You are hilarious. Please provide the proof that Gray is a better RB than Small. We dont need Gray. Nothing about him says he is this massive playmaker that some are saying. Did he have some good plays here? Sure he did. But that’s about it. Your assumptions are ridiculous.

Ahhh, been off for a while; forgot about your contact. Good info, thanks!

Ehhh if he was a Lb or DB then I'd probably consider it.Hes a rb and not some sorta game changing rb at that.Between the bad blood and the fact we don't really need him, that be a hard pass for me.Really it's all about the numbers/fit and him being a rb.

Something, something, prodigal son, something. We don't know all the ins/outs. I say if he comes back, great, and if he doesn't, well, that was his choice!!
