Elite historical programs do not stay down very long. Especially when they have the top budget, top facilities, administrative commitment, and strong recruiting. Vols have all these things. The only thing we don't have is an elite coach, and we might have one right now he just hasn't proven it yet.

Pruitt likes multiples and tells guys they'll have the opportunity to earn PT. Hodge has said he wants to play tailback, but that might not be where Pruitt thinks he fits best and is most needed, once he gets on campus. Teams like Purdue and UK might tell him he can be a feature back, play right away and be an impact player on offense, but if he's waiting on those kinds of promises from UT, he might outwait the spots.

msorange a purdue chick trolling our site? Tennessee may not and have not been where they should have been in the past several years but they will always be above 2nd tier teams such as purdue. Look at the history. Look at the tradition. It's not rocket science. It's fact. Truth! Ignorance is stupid! This is Tennessee baby! We on the up!

Well from a local perspective it would be huge to get Hodge and Mays to commit. We have been burned in the past and to have some guys jump on board that we can cheer for throughout the season would mean a lot to the community.

Edit: Oop! Forgot about Tyler Barron as well! That would be HUGE!
