'20 TN RB Tee Hodge (UT SIGNEE)

Clemson couldn't go get someone until they started winning. When we win, we'll be able to get who we want, or at least more of them. We're already getting some of them and we aren't even winning anything yet.

we have the top cruiting budget every year

Yep. Imagine what we'll do when this staff, that might be the absolute best staff in college football, and that's not just TN fans saying that, when we win. We will get who we want.

Elite historical programs do not stay down very long. Especially when they have the top budget, top facilities, administrative commitment, and strong recruiting. Vols have all these things. The only thing we don't have is an elite coach, and we might have one right now he just hasn't proven it yet.

i know, i'm just talking about present day. plus clemson really only had 1 or 2 hurdles to get over to be elite. they were already an 8 or 9 win program....just had FSU and USCe kinda in their way at one point. once they got over those, well, we know the rest of the story. they went from being able to recruit qb's and RB's to being able to recruit every position.............and that's only been recently....easier path to conf title, and BCS/play off berth. now they dominate the ACC, and can compete with Bama.

we have a few more road blocks in our way....anyway, lss, i agree....we start winning and beating FL, GA wiht any type of regularity again, and string a few victories together against the middle part of our schedule....we'll be good to go.

a win over FL this year would be big in that category.

Yeah it definitely helps to play in a crap conference.

Yeah he has something that neither the intern or Dooley had. He is an elite coach. We know this. Head coach we don't know yet. But if Pruitt were to quit today or be fired today, he would be pursued by every top program in the country for DC. That's a fact. Meanwhile Botch is still an intern at Bama

According to Hodge, Purdue is recruiting him on immediate playing time as a RB, and they are recruiting him hard. Sure UT wants Hodge, but I doubt our coaches are making the same, desperate sales pitch he's getting from Purdue.
