TN vs OKC

Mediocrity at the University of Tennessee is anything short of not winning the National Championship in any sport played at the University of Tennessee. Sec championships are an accomplishment but if you win more than one of these it is still mediocrity unless you win the national championship that season. Many great seasons in a row in any sport will make you know in tis country but without that national title you are just above average.

Good grief that's completely ridiculous. Take some time and learn how to appreciate success

Everyone has their own world view.

I think OU had two slappers in their lineup (Martinez, Parsons), one or two others that can slap. But even their slappers actually "punched" the ball deep more often than a slap. Our defense actually did well against the traditional slap. The squeeze gave us trouble, which did all year. I wasn't a fan of pulling in our outfield against those two when history showed Martinez punching it deep. JMO

We have a couple of slappers but you did notice all those OU balls sail over the outfield fence yesterday?

Is she glad she stayed or did she still wish she could have transferred?

1) Well I am VERY glad she stayed as long as she was happy. I hate the involuntary servitude the NCAA can come up with for its financial benefit.
2) As a fan and alumna of UT I believe the Jones/Tyndall method is correct. If someone does not want to be here, they should be free to go. If UT can't have more class then the NCAA apparently does, then we need to rethink our purpose.
3) I have appreciated the input and insight as to games, competitions etc. from Mr. Davin.

All of which is a very convoluted way of saying I am really glad she and her family were here IF this is where she WANTED to be.

THANK YOU to all of the Davin family.

We brought our middle school softball team to the Saturday Mississippi game. Melissa took time she did not have to give to take some pictures with some of our girls. It showed a lot of class and it meant something to the girls. I appreciate Melissa for all her effort to fight through all the injuries. It never seemed to come easy for her yet she played her heart out. I true Vol and a great softball player. She has been raised well.

Thank You..

Melissa has been an ambassador of the game and an excellent representative of the University of Tennessee.. She has embraced the role and has gone above and beyond what would be considered necessary.... whether her time with Averi Ramsey (see video) or taking pictures and signing autographs...

I recall our first WCWS appearance in 2012.... Melissa's first at bat... first pitch against Traina from Alabama was a home run to left... I got the ball at home... but what was most remarkable was when we were eliminated after the Oregon game... when her teammates had left the facilities to go to the hotel and be with their parents.... we stayed at the fields and Melissa was the only Lady Vol in uniform and stood for seemed like hours taking pictures and signing balls and Tshirts until she had got everybody.

She represented you well !

sounds like her staying the full 4 years worked out best for all, imho. My daughter @ Villanova wanted like heck to come home but we insisted she stay the 1st year thru. Now, she never wants to come home... she loves it there and will be a senior next year(nursing).

Making her stick it out was the best medicine we could give her!

We got 6 months to graduation...

Probably what hurt the VOLS a lot is they really didn't have any big series on the road this year except Texas A&M. They didn't play Georgia or Alabama. So, they really weren't prepared to go on the road and beat Oklahoma. I've been wondering how many teams could have done that and I can't think of any. Just to win one game at Oklahoma is monumental. We should get some kind of award for that. If Oklahoma had come to Knoxville we would have beat them. Luck of the draw.

I just want Chamberlian to pee in a cup. that girl is unreal, gotta be on the juice.... ;)

UK... went to same high school as Kelsey Nunley. Would have loved for her to have gotten the chance to play for the Big Orange.

I'm rooting for Alabama. I think they have the best chance against Oklahoma. If they don't win, then I'm hoping FL, UK, or ULL in that order. After that I really don't care as long as it isn't PAC 12.

I'm still doing it, sorry. UK and Bama (and barely Florida). Would really like to see UK make a good run. Spoke with several of their team in Oklahoma recently, good kids and their enjoying the ride. SEC:peace2:

This for any and every sport![/QUOTE]
