'24 TN WR Amari Jefferson (Alabama commit)

Not real sure I would put UT up there with the elites yet. Maybe win the East? Or be competitive with UGA? Maybe even beat USC.
Georgia is the now the two-time defending national champion. I would, therefore, say that winning the East means that you'll likely win the SEC, particularly when you consider that we beat BOTH of the top two teams in the SEC West last year.

However, UGA is not the 2 time defending SEC champion. Whoever comes out of the West will be a serious contender.

Good grief. Some of you guys are absolutely ridiculous. Warren didn't mention Amari Jefferson at all. AP asked a question about Boo Carter connecting well with all the recruits, and AP actually referenced Amari Jefferson's name amongst many others players. Your interpretation of that is that AP let the cat out of the bag with Jefferson? Get real.
Honestly, I wondered the same thing! 😜😜😜 where's my tinfoil hat?? ☺️

Signing Jefferson would be nice, that's all nice, not a make or break deal. We just got a commitment from a bulldozer from Texas. I'm all for kids spending college years in another state, our success depends on it.

When I heard it I thought the same as well. But I’m not getting my hopes up. AJ has seemed like a bama lean to me for a little while now.
I kind of agree. Really makes me want to 🤮 when recruits get so enamored with Bama and Saban... especially one from Tennessee. I'm still hoping baseball and TV pull him in.

Watch the interview AP had with Warren on his commitment starting around the 1:50 to the 2:10 mark. Did he let the cat out of the bag with Jefferson?

That was a nice and well communicated interview.

Doesn't rush his answers but gives thought before he speaks. Funny too!

For sure looks like a cultural fit into this locker room. There seems to be a bond among our OL big uglies which is great for unit building. The two Texas mom’s hit it off too which cuts down on flip risk.

I’ve got to say I disagree with most in this thread. I know it’s not going to be a popular opinion but Jefferson>Wingo. They’re very different receivers but I like Jefferson’s short area quickness and make you miss ability once the ball is in his hands. Wingo brings a different skill set and I like his game as well. But I think Jefferson is very underrated by everyone except on3 and is going to be a game breaker at the next level. I also believe the coaches value him higher as well. That’s the vibe I get from the 247, and VQ guys at least.

I hate it ( bama) doing everything they can to get this guy. Probably be a All American where ever he goes as long as he has a respectable offense. He really good can't deny that. Think it's easier to get to the bigs in football than baseball with his Skil set . GBO 💥

Wishful thinking imo
The program has certainly turned the corner, but I think it's still 2 recruiting classes away from being a serious contender vs UGA. That assumes we continue recruiting at our present clip and UGA cools a bit. This team gets to 9 wins and second in the east and it's a very good season.

Jokes aside, I wanted him more for baseball. We'll be fine at WR with or without him.
Wouldn't mind an athlete like AJ in center. Yep. That's a mighty fine picture. Sadly, if it happens, he's doing it for bama.

In the Wingo v Jefferson discussion, I think Wingo is the better long distance threat while Jefferson is going to be more of a big strong possession receiver who can take it to the house on occasion. I see AJ as a Bru type receiver.
