'24 TN WR Amari Jefferson (Alabama commit)

In the Wingo v Jefferson discussion, I think Wingo is the better long distance threat while Jefferson is going to be more of a big strong possession receiver who can take it to the house on occasion. I see AJ as a Bru type receiver.

For sure, CP was and still is a horrible route runner. Exactly why Author Smith in Atlanta moved him to RB and he's thrived. No clue if this is true, but there's always been rumors that he has a learning disability and has a hard time picking things up. May or may not be true, but route running and elite WR skills he's never mastered. Just elite speed and a great athlete.

AP asked a question about Boo Carter connecting well with all the recruits, and AP actually referenced Amari Jefferson's name amongst many others players. I said it wasn’t going to be popular. But when he shoots up the recruiting rankings don’t say it’s just a bama bump (if that’s where he commits). He’s just really good. But I’m very happy with the guys we have, our coaches know how to identify talent.

LOL. You think beating South Carolina makes a team elite? Florida beat them 38-6 last year. Yes, Tennessee will beat South Carolina at home. Their win was a fluke.

Losing Jefferson won't be the end of the world, but I wouldn't say it doesn't matter. He is a very good prospect. Who knows? We are due for a surprise to go our way.

Baylor people that I talk to think that he has been trending to UT since his visit in June.

I'm always going to be sad when we miss out on targets because I want what the coaches want. You just know Heupel is like "Man, what this guy could do in this offense..." And I just want to see Heup put his dream offense on the field. So, whatever his top targets are, that's who I want. I want to see what this team can do when he has it exactly as he wants it.
