'20 TN WR Holden Willis (USF commit)

Reggie played when there were only 3 classes....so that’s different. There are 9 now.

He still went to that school....the talent wasn't any different then.
Howard wasn't winning any championships then either

I know......just saying 1A is the lowest division of 9. Howard was 2A out of only 3. Much tougher to get to playoffs then. Less teams in playoffs with many more in each class. Our team missed 1A playoffs with an 8-2 record in 84.

You could see him putting on weight once he gets into a college weight room and nutrition. Kid could get faster and would be a really good TE if WR doesn’t pan out.

if not UT, then yes, do that. :)

I want us to get both:
Ger-Kari Caldwell 6'4" 190 4.4 Rock Hill, SC
and
KeyShawn Smith 6'0" 165 4.5 San Diego, CA

And I really like Holden Willis, but these two are very underrated play-makers.

I work for Tulane football a little bit, and like this kids tape a lot. If he doesn’t pick the Vols I’d love for Tulane to snag him.

The Falcons held Holden Willis, the Tennessee Titans Class 1A Mr. Football, to one catch for 7 yards.

Lake County’s Tanner Snyder had five total touchdowns to lead Lake County to the State Championship over Greenback. Snyder threw for 266 yards and two touchdowns, ran for 138 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns. And he capped the game's scoring by returning an interception 33 yards for a score. He accounted for 404 of Lake County's 535 total yards.

I know it doesn’t mean anything about their future in college, but that’s one heck of a stat line there.
Willis held to one catch!?? because he was only thrown to like 3 times, one he dropped and should have been a TD as he clearly beat the defenders. Can’t believe he was not thrown to 8-10 times in the game? After watching the replay he was open most of the time.

I’ve seen the Willis kid play twice. The SP game where he generally won that game for GB. If any on here don’t believe SP can play ball get your HS to schedule them. Eddie Moore came from there and was hardly recruited but ended up being a 2nd round pick and first one took in his class. If we don’t get this kid we will regret it down the road.

Hard to tell with the lack of talent on the field.
He has a lot of talent on the field. Too late for you to go to one of his games and find out what you have missed. he is tall, fast, runs good routes, and catches the ball when covered. He is a winner. What more do you want?

I think he meant the talent level he is facing is not that high..... it is hard to judge bc he plays in the lowest level of football in a state that isn’t known for great high school football.

A little slow on video but a good candidate for PWO.

you can basically say that against every small school in the country. The list goes on and on of the Pro players that come from small schools

I did go to the Loudon vs Greenback game. I don't think you understand what I am saying. The talent one plays against in 1A football in Tennessee is awful. Does not mean he is not any good. Means he has not played against people who are. I'm fat and decrepit and could still rush fo 1,000 yards in 1A football.

I lot of very good football players have played in lower class football. That does not mean they are not players. First one that comes to mind is hershel Walker from Georgia. Also there was a certail class A football linebacker from West Tennessee who went to Ole Miss and became an all American. I have learned to not discount any football player because he played at a small school and was classified as a class A school. That is a disgrace to the sport just because they live in a small community. Talent is talent regardless of where that talent plays. I came from a school which had 256 students in Freshman through Senior classes. We had 3 players who played SEC football. and a basketball player who was a scholarship player at the # 4 ranked basketball team in the Nation the year he graduated. We played in open class back when we were playing w beat a lot of teams who had over 1,000 students in high school. We had a very good coach who coached all sports and we had a lot of talent,( 20 or so) very talented athletes who played every sport we had and we won in all of them.

Bruh, what part of "Does not mean he is not any good" did you not understand? I agree talnt can come from anywhere but it's hard to be sure how good they are when playing against inferior talent. Sometime talent is so obvious it just jumps out at you. Holden Willis does not have the eye popping speed or lightning quick hips that just jumps out at me and says "take". It says PWO.

The list is much bigger of small school stars that cannot play division 1 football.... didn’t he camp at UT? I hope we get him if the coaches feel like he can compete at this level.

Of course it is! Get a kid in front of the right people and they generally get noticed. On the other hand a lot of small school players never get noticed. As far as the Willis kid he can compete at this level and he is going to make somebody real happy.
