'22 TN WR Isaiah Horton (Miami Transfer)

I understand that part. It's the qualifications of said transfers that allow them to count that's unclear. Do they have to land somewhere else or simply be academically eligible to play elsewhere? Does date that they entered the portal matter?
The date does matter, but Conway's post about their eligibility is the first I have heard about that. It may absolutely be true.

Mutual interest here, per @dascoop.

Horton was the Hurricanes’ No. 3 wide receiver this season, and he is the eighth Miami player known to enter the portal this offseason. Horton is the first UM receiver to enter the portal.

Horton, a Tennessee native, had a breakout season for the Hurricanes this year. He had career highs in catches (56), receiving yards (616) and touchdown catches (five). He was second on the team in catches, third in yards and fourth in touchdown catches.

Posted this in the other thread, but does he have 1 or 2 years left of eligibility?

Miami wide receiver Isaiah Horton - Recruiting Profile is in the portal, and he's one Alabama fans should be watching closely. In fact, one source near Horton told us he would be very surprised if he didn't end up at Alabama when all is said and done. This is one of the guys we've been waiting and watching to see if/when he would actually enter the portal, and now that he has, you can look for Alabama to be involved.
As we noted in our nugget this is trending in the right direction and could happen fast.
