To all of you quitters

The performance today would have got us a good old fashioned butt whipping out of the first round of the playoffs. Like it or not, we just don’t look good.
I thought they played well after the first 5 minutes. With the exception of the 2 turnovers, the offense did look good.

These threads scolding fans for venting their frustration about our 1st quarter performance is quite stupid. It’s easy after the fact to act like you knew the outcome all along. We played like trash early but I’m glad we won.
There is venting, and then there is just plain drunken stupidity. There are a ton that fall in that second category.

No. Undisciplined play after this many weeks of “maybe we’ll fix it next week”. We are an undisciplined football team. Stats can be misleading. We play ugly as hell week after week.
While there are so many teams around the nation with way better records than our 10-2 in the SEC.

Do our fans see the bad losses or close wins that literally every other team has? Or do they think that just happens to us? I get frustration when we playing bad, but let’s save the “fire the coach” comments to after the games or after we’re officially dead. Always a bad look to see such negativity about our team on Twitter when we’re trying to convince the CFP committee we belong

First for me taking up for the negs….we were getting our ass handed to us in 1st quarter
We were, and some people take disappointment as hating the team, or being negative. Being a fan will include all sorts of emotions, and the disappointment comes out in different ways. It's the insecure person who gets triggered over someone stating a fact, and getting triggered and calling names.

Well, I think it would be more accurate to say the start, which looked like they were not ready to play, would normally get you beat in the 1st round of the playoffs. You can recover from a start like that against Candy, but it is much more difficult to recover from a poor start like that against a competetive team.
It's a 60 minute game which we dominated for all but 50-55 minutes. We started as bad as a team could have, but locked it and completely took over the game. Offense was lights out and defense bottled up Pavia all game. If anything, I watched that game and said to myself, if this is how Tennessee's Offense plays in the playoffs we are going to be a dangerous, dangerous team.

I think you could count on one hand the times we caught a break from the Zebras. Vandy's D committed 2 missed facemasks that were not called. Their D jumped into the neutral zone 3 times. We were called for false starts twice, and Vandy was flagged 1 flag. I know CJH is trying not to get a fine, but just once, I wish he would comment on the lopsided officiating this year. It happens too often not to be planned. JMHO

To be fair, the other fanbases are the same way. Alabama fans already want to fire DeBoer and were wanting Saban to retire a couple of years ago. Georgia fans want to fire Mike Bobo.

No, it was filled with fans watching our team show up listless, flat, undisciplined, and with no sense of urgency while Vandy looked like they were the team fighting for a playoff spot. Glad we starting caring midway through the 2nd quarter
Exactly. We come out flat in the playoffs, it won’t be good. We were able to overcome it because it was Vandy and not a playoff quality team.
