To all of you quitters

I get being upset after the special teams flop and the fumble. We gifted Vandy 14 points to start the game.

What I can’t stand is the loser mentality of some of our fans. Many were calling “Game.” after going down 14-0 with 3.5+ quarters left to play. Losers.

We were, and some people take disappointment as hating the team, or being negative. Being a fan will include all sorts of emotions, and the disappointment comes out in different ways. It's the insecure person who gets triggered over someone stating a fact, and getting triggered and calling names.

I never said that you said it. You said “we,” referring to the people who were being super negative in the first quarter, so I read your statement as a general one. That’s what the topic was about, right? Everyone who was being salty in the first quarter.

If you meant your statement solely as a justification for whatever criticisms you made, then so be it. I have no idea what you did or did not say. But everything else in thread seemed general, not specific, and I responded as such. And in that light, I saw a lot or wild “facts” in the first part of the game thread. The Guarantano assetions being among the most amusing.

Do I understand why people do it? Sure. Does it make it leas funny? Not particularly.
And I didn't see that, what I was here fir, I didn't see any of that. Heck, I've said stuff to people over ignorant posts. I'm saying, in general, when you're getting your butt handed to you in a game that matters that much, and see zero fight, the majority of fans are gonna make negative comments. Yeah, there's some that are pure stupid, but the majority are just disappointed comments, because we're emotional. I've been attacked other places for saying something as simple as "that sucked". That's the whole thing I was talking about, don't have a clue about Guarantano comments. So for clarity, it's for people who get triggered over saying stuff like "that sucked" that I mean are weak emotionally. Go ahead, be upset over the stupid stuff, especially the Guarantano stuff, just (to whoever), don't get triggered when we make a horrible plsy, or give up a horrible play, and people are critical. That's as much of being a fan, as is me saying boom over something good. That's what I mean, go after the fure everyone, or bench everyone crowd, I'll not say a word.

These threads scolding fans for venting their frustration about our 1st quarter performance is quite stupid. It’s easy after the fact to act like you knew the outcome all along. We played like trash early but I’m glad we won.
Agreed
Saying Vandy gonna Vandy, Yeah like TN doesn't TN.
Look no further than the common phrase 3rd and TN
Glad we won and we're in the CFP

I was pissed off and ready for Heupel to pack his bags. I could not believe we looked that bad in the first quarter. Especially given what was in the line. It reminded me of Botch in 2016. I thought the team was embarrassing.

Then they woke up and made me look like a dumbass. And I am happy they did. I am here to eat my crow and say my posting in the first quarter was ridiculous.

It's more fun on here when you stick to your guns.

And fans are gonna be fans. Hard to clap and cheer for your team when they come out as flat as they did that first quarter. Did anyone leave the stadium? Change colors? Turn off the TV?

NOPE!

I like VOL fans who vent and show passion. Seems some of that filtered over to the players.
I love the passion of Vol fans too. But it's possible to be passionate without being childish.
