To all of you quitters

You all must be pretty young. I've seen so many wins like this. Such as the following. Dominating after a quick flukey 14-0 deficit is much more impressive than the agony of the sudden deficit.

1987 28-3 to Vandy (home)
1989 14-0 to LSU (road)
1991 31-7 to Notre Dame (road)
2001 21-0 to Kentucky (road)
2005 21-0 to LSU (road)
2006 24-7 to Georgia (road)

The performance today would have got us a good old fashioned butt whipping out of the first round of the playoffs. Like it or not, we just don’t look good.
Well, they need to remove some of the marginal freshmen and walk-ons if there are any from kickoff team, during the playoffs. I know over 80% of college kickoffs are TBs and a good time to reward practice time by getting a ST start but even later in the game they lost containment to the opposite side. In playoffs there are no tomorrows.

The 1991 comeback vs Notre Dame was the greatest in Vol history. I remember and John Ward screwed up the final call worse than Bob ever did. Going through the motions, he said, and the Notre Dame kick is goooood, oh wait no the Vols blocked it. Everybody just had a love for Ward and excused that blunder. Imagine if Bob did that 🤣

not pretty... it's good to be self aware! That being said, am sure we're no different than others...am sure UGA was a mess on Friday night!
I doubt GA fans were posting dump Kirby.

Our program was left for dead when CJH was hired. In year two he got us to an albeit brief #1 ranking. This year - the CF playoffs. Calling for his job goes beyond venting - it's ridiculous spew. And has already gotten national attention.

These threads scolding fans for venting their frustration about our 1st quarter performance is quite stupid. It’s easy after the fact to act like you knew the outcome all along. We played like trash early but I’m glad we won.
I and plenty of us knew the ship wasn't going to sink. I was at no point blaming coaches or players or doubting the outcome of the game. We knew there's 4 quarters

I uttered more than that while watching. But I wasn’t ready to fire the coaches, pull scholarships, etc. With this team, I always feel like they are in it…at least that early.
With UT’s defense and running game, we’ll be in every game. Just a matter of limiting silly mistakes and penalties like they had in the first half yesterday.

Do our fans see the bad losses or close wins that literally every other team has? Or do they think that just happens to us? I get frustration when we playing bad, but let’s save the “fire the coach” comments to after the games or after we’re officially dead. Always a bad look to see such negativity about our team on Twitter when we’re trying to convince the CFP committee we belong
It only happens to us apparently

Anyone who thinks a football game is over in the 1st quarter deserves to be scolded. That is actually quite stupid, and there was a lot of it on here yesterday. It was being hyper-reactive. I mean, hell .... we even had a 7 point halftime lead, in a game that posters had declared a lost cause in the 1st quarter. Sorry, but some idiots deserve to be called out for what they are.

Players shouldn't be the only ones reciting these before games

Exactly. Hyper reactive is a good way to describe it BB. Lots of folks don’t understand that a football game is 4 quarters and they don’t call it a W or an L until the 4th qtr clock reads 0:00.

I can only imagine what the game thread looked like in the first quarter.
It's reasonable to be pissed with the start of the game in the first quarter. I felt the same way and was steaming. I could see there was plenty of time left in the game and to give it time. It is fair to wonder why we don't ever seem to come out fired up and ready to play in the first quarter.
