How does it feel to be "Les Miled"? Sucks, huh? I am convinced at this point Miles has SEC officials on his payroll.

Les Miles and LSU have to be the luckiest people on Earth. Maybe God has mercy on them because they live in Louisiana...

Well, I mean, the call was epic. I don't know if anyone deserves blame for their win more than that ballsy, ballsy call.

Les Miles has sold his soul to the devil. No other explanation. I have never seen a coach that lucky.

I thought Nick was Satan?
maybe Florida was overrated and didn't need to be in the top 25 in the first place.

I give LSU all the credit as they outplayed us with our injuries and such. Also I put the fake FG on the coaches for trying to block a 53 yarder that would tie the game. If he makes it so what you go to overtime. Also FWIW,

ARTICLE 2. a. When a backward pass or fumble is caught or recovered by
any inbounds player, the ball continues in play (A.R. 7-2-2-I and II, A.R.
2-23-1-I).

Exceptions:

RULE 7-2 / SNAPPING AND PASSING THE BALL FR-101
1. Rule 8-3-2-d-5 (Team A fumble on the try).
2. On fourth down before a change of team possession, when a Team
A fumble is caught or recovered by a Team A player other than the
fumbler, the ball is dead.

If the catch or recovery is beyond the spot
of the fumble, the ball is returned to the spot of the fumble.

If the catch or recovery is behind the spot of the fumble, the ball remains
at the spot of the catch or recovery.

We had no business being in a position to win that game.

I expected our offense to look like ass, but I didn't expect our defense to make Jefferson look like Vince Young.

The "exceptions" do not apply here. It was ruled a backward pass/fumble.

The exception would apply as it was fourth down, hence rule number 2.....

You forget, when you aren't the darlings of the SEC anymore, traditional rules don't apply. Get used to it, the rest of the conference (other than LSU, Bama, and Florida) have learned to live with it over the last couple of years.

All those rules you cite apply only if you assume it was not a forward pass. I've looked at it a number of times and seems pretty clear to me it was forward.

But, I acknowledge that it was close and that it would be tough to overturn on replay. Nothing anyone can do about it now.

I saw on one of the post game shows where they drew a line on the screen and the ball tracked it almost perfectly. It was close, but I think it was a lateral.

YouTube - Fake field goal (Florida vs LSU)

The ball and the holder were just past the 43 yard line. The ball bounces on the 43 and is picked up there. It was a forward pass which was incomplete when it hit the ground.

False. Its where the ball left his hand to where it landed. Not where he was sitting. I cant imagine how upset you were if you actually thought where his body was positioned had any relevance.
