To all the Gator fans....

Its actually pretty clear that he released it just behind the 43 and it lands just behind the 43. But regardless are you actually crying about this? You really thought they should overturn this call. What a little crybaby b****

As stated earlier, I think the problem was that it was so close that given the angle of the camera they did not feel that they could say that the evidence was conclusive.

That doesn't mean it was an accurate ruling, however.

In fact, had it been called on the field a forward pass I don't think it would have been overturned. And, had this play been overturned and called a forward pass the LSU people would be griping but they'd have to admit it sure looks like the ball advances, even by a very narrow amount.

Wait, that doesn't make any sense.

Watch the ball when it is released. The holder moves his right knee and you can clearly see the tip of the football just barely hanging over the edge of the hash mark for the 43 when it comes out of his hand. Then the ball lands with the nose of the football barely touching the 43. It's perfectly sideways.

How about some t-shirts that say "I Was Outsmarted by Les Miles". I bet we could sell a million of them.

I bet you would find some peole that agree with you on YOUR OWN DANG BOARDS!

Wait, that doesn't make any sense.

Let's say you are right and the tip of the ball is just over the 43. When it hits, the ball is firmly over the 43. Let's say just smack dab on it with half of the ball over it and half behind it.

If that is so, then it is a forward pass. You don't get an extra length of the ball to play with there. Just because the tip is on the 43 doesn't mean you get to throw it forward by the length oif the ball and still call it a backward pass.

What planet are you on? Firmly over the 43??

LG is the one that is sideways. UF got beat......period!

The brilliance of that plan is you sell them with pictures of Meyer to the home fans and pictures of Dooley for the opposing fans.

We will be billionaires.

Are you aware of the fact that this thread and these posts are in the NCAA forum?

Just so you know, Florida would've lost the game even if you are correct. Therefore, you should just give up. You know something else woulda gone their way sometime during the game. God just hates you guys.

What the hell does that have to do with the fact that you are arguing a UF call on a UT board. You may consider your self at home here but make not mistake we do not.

I give LSU all the credit as they outplayed us with our injuries and such. Also I put the fake FG on the coaches for trying to block a 53 yarder that would tie the game. If he makes it so what you go to overtime. Also FWIW,

ARTICLE 2. a. When a backward pass or fumble is caught or recovered by
any inbounds player, the ball continues in play (A.R. 7-2-2-I and II, A.R.
2-23-1-I).

Exceptions:

RULE 7-2 / SNAPPING AND PASSING THE BALL FR-101
1. Rule 8-3-2-d-5 (Team A fumble on the try).
2. On fourth down before a change of team possession, when a Team
A fumble is caught or recovered by a Team A player other than the
fumbler, the ball is dead.

If the catch or recovery is beyond the spot
of the fumble, the ball is returned to the spot of the fumble.

If the catch or recovery is behind the spot of the fumble, the ball remains
at the spot of the catch or recovery.

It wasn't a fumbled snap or fumbled pass. It was a fumbled lateral pitch.

Are you aware it's an orange VolNation NCAA forum and not a blue Gator board? I think that was his point.

Of course it is. But it just seemed like to me that when you have a separate forum devoted entirely to comment about other teams it would be the place to, you know, comment about other teams.

A thread entitled "To all the Gator fans...." wasn't really meant for Gator fans to actually respond, because their opinions don't matter.

Brilliant. :eek:k:

It should have been "To all the Gator fans that aren't complete homers"

Why stop there?

Just call it "To all Gator fans who think Urban Meyer will have a heart attack after every loss, and UF will never be a championship contender again because Tim Tebow/Charlie Strong/Dan Mullen/Danny Wuerffel/Ike Hilliard are no longer there...."

Anyone who believes otherwise is considered a UF homer around these parts. :eek:lol:
