To all the Gator fans....

What is sad is that people here are so blinded by their envy of Florida that they will just fabricate facts to justify it. If you are objective about it, it is a forward pass.

You sad yourself in another thread, that the replay angle must not have been good enough to overturn it.

And now you have it nailed down. How could you tell, if they couldn't? Assuming you have the same replay.

Why stop there?

Just call it "To all Gator fans who think Urban Meyer will have a heart attack after every loss, and UF will never be a championship contender again because Tim Tebow/Charlie Strong/Dan Mullen/Danny Wuerffel/Ike Hilliard are no longer there...."

Anyone who believes otherwise is considered a UF homer around these parts. :eek:lol:

Come on, this is homeristic behavior on the part of LG. There is absolutely no evidence that clearly shows that the fake field goal lateral was "a forward pass"

Read my post just above yours.

Of course it is. But it just seemed like to me that when you have a separate forum devoted entirely to comment about other teams it would be the place to, you know, comment about other teams.

Comment about other teams - yes. Other team's fans come there and receiving support - not so much. Big difference.

Two questions:

1) You don't think that the football landed just a little further to the right than where it started? By even just a few inches?

2) Had it been called an incomplete forward pass on the field, I would expect that the replay would not have overturned that decision. Do you agree?

How the hell did you make it through the Ron Zook years?

I think Janoris Jenkins would have scooped up that bounce pass and trolled into the north end zone if D.J. Durkin had a clue.

I'm not going there.

wait so you agree it's too close to call, yet you are *****ing about it not being overturned?

1) No

2) Had it been ruled incomplete, the whistle blows and the play is non-reviewable. Quit complaining.

That was more towards LG1.

If he's this whiny after a close loss to a top 10 team, I would have hated to see him in 04 losing to MSU.

Hell, by '04 our fans were celebrating that MSU loss because we knew the other shoe was about to drop.

Had I been in Starkville I would have helped those kids tear down those goalposts.

What makes you think I wasn't on board with the way things were handled in terms of Zook exiting and Meyer coming in? When Foley was flying around trying to lure in Stoops or someone of his equal and they were all turning it down, I knew why. Any reasonably attuned Gator fan understood that in the last 2-3 years' of Spurrier's tenure the recruiting had more or less grinded to a halt. Combine that with the irrational expectations of a spoiled fan base it was easy to see why the top dogs all turned us down when SOS went to the Redskins for that debacle.

You are a somewhat intelligent Gator fan.

LG1 is not.

LG is doing what lawyers get paid big bucks to do, argue points that some people find less than relevant given the situation.

Given the situation, UF NOT being in safe mode on that fake FG trumps the LSU holder possibly throwing a forward pass.

Especially when Les Miles iced his own kicker.

The kicker was attempting to make a career long field goal, and I'm not sure, but it may have been the first do or die field goal of his career. If I was Florida's DC, I'd consider sending my actual defense onto the field.

Exactly tvolsfan......it was a career long to TIE the game not win it. If he makes it you take your chances in overtime in a game you shouldn't even have had a chance to win. If Debose doesn't return that kick for a td we aren't even having this conversation as we are behind another score instead of ahead with the final td.
