To all the Oregon fans

I think the thread is ridiculous.

I also think some of our fans' replies are equally ridiculous.

We have no leg to stand on right now in regards to winning.

Maybe but it's silly for an A&M fan to trash talk Oregon, considering Oregon would beat them.

I agree 100% with you. It's just embarrassing to see our own fans pile on another program for not being able to win when we just got spanked by 45 points and haven't won a conference championship since 1998. He shouldn't have started the thread. You and others who pointed that out are absolutely correct.

But for some of our fans to call an entire fanbase "douchey" for a thread that wasn't even so (it was silly, sure. But "douchey"? Really?) while also pointing out their program's lack of historical success is embarrassing. We're better than that. And if we represent one of the SEC's elite as we claim we do, we would have more to show for it than we have shown recently.

This is an assumption. The key to beating Oregon is sustaining offensive drives and putting points on the board. A&M can do that. If you can readily put points on the board and let your D rest for 5 minutes of game clock, you can beat Oregon. Letting their offense get into a rhythm where they go on the field every 2 minutes of game clock and basically work every 7 minutes total, you'll never stand a chance.

Oregon can beat anyone. Color me slightly unimpressed by Bama's Defense, and unimpressed by their O. They are not on the same level as last year or the year before.

I've watched both this season, and it's a pretty good assumption. Not to mention you replied to my assumption with an assumption that A&M can do all you posted.

It doesn't matter, because A&M won't be playing Oregon this year. It's easy to trash talk a team you have very little chance of playing.

Yeah! Why would a team better than TAMU want a shot at a team that TAMU only lost to by one score and have a shot at the national title!!

Most of his threads are whining about being in the spotlight. A&M is a good team, not great.

They have been relevant for 8 months and he has been complaining the entire time.

It's an accumulation of arrogance that has been douchey.

A&M Dropped 40 on Alabama. A&M can score with the best of them. That's not an assumption, that's a fact.

Better here to use a YouTube clip of that scene, maybe?

The scene kind of loses its meaning without any sound or at least text on the gif

(Only saying this because I love that scene and when it's used in discussion)

Our defense lost a ton of key players to the draft. We had those that remained on the team suspended for at least parts of the first two games. This was the first time the entire starting unit saw playing time together. They're all pretty damn young.

We asked a lot of them last Saturday when you think about it, and I'm pretty proud of what they were able to do given the circumstances. As for our offense: its pretty badass.

full disclosure: the one with text was being unbelievably slow so i just went for it to teach this whining fool a lesson.

Oregon could probably have their way with anyone in the country right now, especially at home

Which position is TAMU better than Oregon?

Manziel behind a great O-Line distributes the ball and churns out first downs, keeping the Oregon O on the sideline. Our first two series showed that a decent-to-good D playing properly can stop the Oregon O, as long as they can stay rested. Manziel and the A&M O is the reason I'd take A&M.

Hopefully we'll get to see Bama and Oregon play. Oregon would be able to hang with them. The problem with the NC game is you give Nick Saban a month to game plan!

I'm not so certain that Bama can get by LSU this year. LSU looks to be most complete team in the SEC so far. They have a solid offense as Mettenberger and his receivers have come around, and their defense is still top notch. I think LSU beats Bama and A&M both at this point.

Texas A&M's defense has been horrible this year and Oregon's offense would shred it to pieces.

While Texas A&M's defense was getting shredded by poor teams like Rice, Oregon's defense has been beating down legit programs.

#1 Alabama
#2 Oregon

And nobody else is even close.

Acting like A&M lost by 7 is a farce. They were doubled up 42-21 going into the 4th quarter and the touchdown that made it a 7 point loss was scored with 15 seconds left. It was a garbage touchdown. A&M basically lost by 14 because they were never going to score two touchdowns when they started their final drive with just over 2 minutes left in the game. Alabama just made sure they didn't get beat on one play and made them milk the clock. Again, it was a garbage touchdown.

Chanting "we want Bama!"

No, no you really don't. You don't want any part of that crap so just shut up and continue to win games in that crap conference.

There are three leagues that matter in football. The AFC, The NFC, and the SEC West.

Pipe down, Ole Miss and Houtson Nutt had longer success than you guys, and they also knocked off an eventual natl title champ.
Before you act like a pillar of the SEC be a pillar of the SEC.

Any fan that is proud of their defense giving up 30 first downs and 42 points to a non-hurry up offense is a sad, biased fool.

I'm still not convinced Bama will make it to the NC game. Especially with Ohio State and Clemson out there. A one loss team from the SEC will not be in the NC game if there are two undefeated teams remaining from the other BCS teams.
