Im done arguing this point.....for now!

But in about 6-7 games, I will be back to torture you fans who still believe that we will win at least 20 games this year and make it as a 7 seed in the tourney.

I said before the game against Arkansas that we needed to go 5-0 or 4-1 in our next 5 games to set ourself up to having a chance to get in. right now we are 1-1 since the time i said that, we are one tipped ball away from being 2-2. We are 14-8 ( 5-3 ) right now. I say we beat Georgia & Vandy to make us 16-8 ( 7-3 ), the Ole Miss game will be a toss up but if this team can go into Arkansas & get a win i believe they will beat Ole Miss making us 17-8 ( 8-3 ) with 5 games remaining. In those 5 games i see us beating Mississippi State & Bama at home which would bring us to 19-11 ( 10-6 ) that their alone is good enough to get us in the tourney & winning atleast one game in the SEC would just help out even more! I still have hope BUT we HAVE to win the next 3.

g'town, marquette,fla, sienna...we can manage beating kentucky or fla and a couple in the sec tourney and those are some quality wins that are gonna get us in considering i schedule is ranked the hardest in the country to some analyst

we actually got some people with sense....of course tennessee makes the tournament. we are a couple baskets away from bein a 5 loss team....hell we've only had 8 losses anyways. I say we finish strong and end up 20-8. Win the SEC and get a 4 or 5 seed. Hopson is starting to get his confidence back and i think maze gives us a really good scoring threat. Chism and Smith are always gonna put up points. JP is well....he's JP. He just produces good numbers. We need Cam Tatum to step up and shoot the basketball....

At this point, I believe Tennessee is more of a lock than Florida is.

Remember a couple of seasons ago, when the Vols lost 6-of-8 games in January/February? Vols finished the regular season going 7-1 down the stretch run, then lost in the SEC tournament opener. The Vols were a # 5 seed and made it to the sweet 16, narrowly losing to #1 seed Ohio State.

Damn why did you have to remind me of that game to OSU. Remember both those games against OSU.

Difference, LOFTON AND SMITH were on those teams

Seriously, How many times can one team bounce back after tough losses? Im not critcizing UT, I've been behind them all season, watch every game I can.

I'm just a realist, that's all :good!:

It bugs me to see an unfounded amount of respect for a team (6th in the tourney and so on) that in my opinion doesn't have such a clear path to make it to the tourney.

You realize that the Vols play in a conference that is mediocre this year. SEC should be a 2 bid league this year but will probably get at least 4 bids. What teams have a legit shot of getting a bid over UT? None have the SOS, big OOC wins, or charismatic coach that Vols have. 19 wins gets them in, period. If the Vols don't win 2 more games this year, next year they should let the Ladies play both schedules.

Up until a win against either Arkansas or Georgia on the road people also thought that team was on the bubble. With the rest of the schedule I would be shocked if Tennessee is lower than a 7 seed.

It really sucks that UT got SC, FL, and UK all at home the first time they played them, but now UT has to go on the road for those three games (the 3 teams that are in contention in the east) near the end of the season when every game is critical, honestly I don't see Ut being able to pick up 2 of those games. UF is hard to beat at home, and vol fans do not think that UF will be a pushover just b/c UT pounded them at home earlier in the year. UK. . . . .well lets just say UT had better hold Meeks under 54, and SC should be a tough game too.
