He's been on here since 2009 and been posting often since we started recruiting Peterman. He has not and he will not have problems on here because he is a well respected poster. Wish we had more posters like Dep.:thumbsup:

Folks,

I just joined and going through the threads, I felt this would be the first one I should post in. I am an Irish fan and married into a Vol family. Not to mention, I have spent most my life in Tennessee near Nashville and have a tremendous amount of friends that are Vol Fans. I follow the Vols with my friends and family. I always enjoyed watching the talent on the Tennessee teams and always thought Fulmer was a good coach. That said, I have always followed the Big 10 since that is who the Irish primarily play but really liked the SEC speed and defensive traits (always good games going on).

To answer the question of the thread why I am here, I always look forward to different views from different fans. I am a member of a couple other forums and shall I say, fans are colorful!!!

I am sure there are many alabama haters here as well!!! I hope those members are happy come Tuesday morning!!!!

Why would you not like a outsiders prospective? To me one of the biggest draws to this site or it used to be, is everyone is welcome. Besides it makes it more fun wjen people disagree. Altough we do that among ourselfs enough the last few years. One of the biggedt knocks on USCe, flordia, and bamas site is they have very little tolerance for outsiders. LSU's site is second best simply because they welcome everyone. I lurk there often but never post.

I can only speak for myself, and it seems like every three months or so this questions gets asked...so here's my answer.

I post on several CFB message boards, a couple other forums dealing with college sports, in addition to writing and contributing to a CFB fan blog. I'm also a UF alum who's been following college football since the late 1970s.

VolNation is by far one of the best CFB message boards out there, and rival fans are welcome, which is why I post here.

The thought of only reading and posting on a site where everyone follows the same team, or has the same opinion couldn't be more boring to me. Understanding opposing points of view and gaining a different perspective about certain topics are much more interesting.

If you follow my posts here, I'm hardly a "pound your chest about my team on your board" guy. That's disrespectful. I understand the history, relationship and general feelings you have about UF and I try my best to be mindful of that when posting here.

That said, if my presence as a rival fan here bothers you, that's a you problem...take it up with the mods.

You'll be pleased to know I also think Waco is a jackass, so there's that.

Also: I joined here before my daughter hit college, because I live in TN, and I thought I might try being in touch with the school just a bit. Ive tried to always be cautious and not be a jerk on a rivals site.

But now that my daughter is a student at UT, and not just a student but competes as a LadyVol, I find myself getting more immersed in her college experience. I of course am 100% a fan of her team, but I have the rest of the vols firmly in 3rd place in the rest of life.

There is a lot to like about this school, and this board. Ive never been a hater to begin with.

I've been on sites for all the sec schools. I only post here though. VN is by far and away the most organized. The layout is much better than the others as well. VN is arguably the most active forum I've found. VN, TexAgs, and Tigerdroppings are the best forums in the SEC.

Member of Texags since my wife taught at A&M - CC and we lived there.

Member of the Gator forum, think I've posted maybe 3 times. I think I had to sign up to read threads.

Member SEC Talk, post about 2 times per year.

I'm not a big poster, but do like to rarely give my input (like on this thread).

Edit: Oh, joined the Mizzou Boards to welcome to the SEC, but only posted once and haven't been back since. The Mizzou Boards are impossible to read, the layout is like a BBS forum from the early 80s.

I am honestly shocked sometimes that the gator fans are smart enough to even explore the internet. and the bama fans? I guess screwing ur fat inbred sister can only take so much of their time so...
