To Protect and to Serve II

I didn't do drugs when I was younger because I was afraid of being arrested. Addictive drugs scare the hell out of me because of what has happened with fentanyl. I watched a great guy get hooked on opioids and destroy his life because of a work injury. Say what you want about drugs, but you're wrong in my eyes. I'm okay with marijuana, but after that forget it.
So you're in favor of banning alcohol? How many lives does it destroy each year?

And what are we supposed to glean from that article? Criminals will use ports to import/export drugs into countries where they are illegal and the money is enough to make it worth killing for. Wow, I would have never guessed that.
Possession is legal in Amsterdam. Albeit personal use

So why didn’t it change when drugs were legalized there?

You can’t see past your nose.

1. Those states legalized pot only and thought it would be a cash cow so they enacted taxes and fees to the point it made illegal weed cheaper than legal weed.
2. bordering states weed is still illegal
3. There is still a **** ton of money being made by the cartels/gangs on other drugs that are still illegal in those states.

And what about heroin and meth both legal in possession in oregon?

And are we supposed to believe those gangs are just importing thorough the biggest port in Europe for use in the Netherlands? No, they are smuggling into Amsterdam to distribute to the rest of Europe where the product is still illegal.

So, now the whole world needs to legalize all drugs..?

So it didn’t work to reduce crime. And you have worse crime especially in California where they barely even arrest for drug possession in the big cities. With dirty needles and ODs and crime everywhere

In case you don’t read it. A parole absconder with arrests for guns and yep, drugs..
But for his parole release he could not have caught his pregnant x2 paramour on fire. How’s that for pre crime prevention?

Yeah, you conveniently left out the actual "crimes" that he's done.

He is a parole absconder with a lengthy rap sheet according to WJBK, including previous charges for guns, assault, and drugs.

And him getting bail for setting someone on fire is ridiculous. But that isn't anywhere near what I am talking about. I'm talking about non-violent and victimless crimes. Yet you conveniently moved the goalposts, yet again.

Non violent Crimes like suggesting doctors and hospital admins need to be killed?

That would be the best solution but no I don’t care about the whole world doing it. As you and Ricky like to say we’re different. We have 2 countries on our borders where the Amsterdam is like bringing dope into the port of LA, it’s going adjacent states. Just a short drive from the port to where it’s illegal and can be sold for a premium.

It wasn’t intentional, I mentioned guns. My point was that the crimes almost always go hand in hand. Surely you can see a correlation between drugs and violent crime

Have you missed the two times we both said that the taxes were so high that the black market was still able to thrive?
Consumers, even when talking about drugs, are price sensitive. If the streets are offering a better deal than the legal weed sellers, then WTF do you think they are going to do?
