To the flagpole this morning

It's really all moot now anyways. Bush is our president, and that's that.
agreed, but the childishness follows every election, especially one with a candidate this far from center winning.

Scratch that, there has never been a candidate this far from center win.

The point is, the final verdict came in. No one was cheated. Some on the left still acted like buffoons. This is what happens, some people have a hard time dealing with it.

I understand that you are afraid that Obama will undermine the values that this country was built on, but I really don't think Obama can do much to destroy them.

Some of the more social policies will have a much greater effect later on down the road. There is always that slippery slope, move the center of gravity and there is a great potential for backsliding.

If he had any opposition in the House and Senate, I would agree. The only check that I see on BHO is his desire to be re-elected. If that desire is not stronger than his desire to "reform America" and "correct the flaws in the Constitution", there will be far reaching policy change. Some of this change could be difficult at best to reverse.

Bottom line is he is a very different animal than Bush altogether, objective thinkers would quickly agree, despite their political leanings.

Oh, so the "bottom line" is he has a different idealolgy than W yet votes with him 95% of the time?

That was during the year 2007 only. You missed my other post where I stated he started voting with Bush because he thought he needed his supporters to win.....and that was his biggest mistake he made. He changed his principles to try and gain votes and it didn't work for him. He was going to get the vote from right wingers simply because it would be a vote against Obama.

most senate votes are unanimous consent vote, so Obama voted along with the President 95% of the time as well.

That was a real intelligent response...you should be supporting our new president instead of being negative towards him and the people that voted for him.As long as you don't make over $200,000 then his presidency should not effect you.

If you really believe that I have some ocean front property in Arizona that would interest you.
