To the flagpole this morning

Then you are a redneck idiot. The office garners tremendous respect and whomever is in it.
Crawl back under your rock

I can agree with that, but not everyone is respectful. Referring to the President as "Mr. Bush" was disrespectful and it happened all the time from reporters/ news anchors/ analysts...ect.

that would explain why you've been so positive about Bush.

I just couldn't piece it together before now, but I now understand your objectivity.

I was behind him 100% until he totally ignored the advice of those smarter than him concerning the military and war. Totally ignored them, including his father. And the manner in which he allowed this 2004 campaign to 'swift boat" Kerry was pathetic.

none of that has anything to do with "respect for the office" that you were espousing prior.

I don't care who you support in some election. An upside down American Flag is downright unamerican and despicable. I am ashamed of some of my fellow Americans today. Most, have been humble in defeat. Others are just complete and utter imbeciles.

Perhaps you better read up on flag etiquette. There is absolutely NOTHING disrespectful about the act. It is a sign of distress.

This nation is in distress. Thanks to you and the other imbeciles who voted that fool in office.

You're wrong... an upside down flag is a signal for distress. Please read the following code.

US CODE: Title 4,8. Respect for flag

I guess it comes down to how you define "distress". Some people feel this warrants that, and that is their prerogative. It is certainly better than burning the flag (that is, one that is not in usable condition), and I'm not sure you want to debate on which political leaning does that the most.

To turn the flag upside down, because a man was elected president by 62 million people is a little immature, don't you think?

you think it's less immature than the garbage from the Dems after the 2000 election? Please.

Yes, this nation is in distress, and it's about to get a whole lot worse. MUCH WORSE.

How so? Explain it to us with facts and truth and leave out the rhetoric and propaganda. Don't breath a damn word about the ecomony unless you have read Obama's plan in detail.

C'mon, lets hear your babble:clapping:

My guess is it would sound a lot like your truths and facts about how Obama's plan will help us.........No doubt it would contain an equal amount of rhetoric and propoganda.

Card check
Fairness Doctrine (Obama has said he doesn't support it, but many dems in Congress do)
Cap and Trade
higher corporate taxes will make the products we buy more expensive, thus any "tax cut" given to the middle class will be offset by an increased cost of living.

no rhetoric, no propaganda

There's a difference. In 08, the Dems. won, no questions asked. In 2000, Kathrene Harris, not to mention the US Supreme Court, shut down the recount, when Democrats were within 100 votes of winning the election.

You call it immature, many of us label it a call for patiotism. You may be happy about the outcome of the election, but there are many who have watched what BHO has said throughout the campaign and in earlier political interviews and we see a subversive attempt to undermine the fundamental makeup of America. We will NOT allow this to transpire easily.

assuming you don't count the absentee ballots wiped out....yadda, yadda, yadda.

Those arguments, ad infinitum, with all of the follow on commentary were hideous.

So, if I understand what you're saying correctly, you are afraid that Obama will undermine traditional American values.

It's really all moot now anyways. Bush is our president, and that's that.
