there is no place in the law for common sense. It doesn't have to harm anymore just offend and it's gone

I guess my view on this is weird compared to everyone elses. I believe it shouldn't be made illegal or we justify what the idiots in the middle East do, however I feel like Americans who do it, should be held accountable for it in some way (ie I choose to stop you from burning the flag)

Intent to cause harm. Same as DUI. I can be drunk as hell and get behind a car and make it home safely, but I have the possibility to cause harm and/or loss of life.

Silly, still need courts and guilty/non-guilty verdicts.

Probably splitting hairs, I'm just trying to say that I think we have too many laws on the books for too many silly things that don't really matter. Every law should have to pass a smell test of some kind.

Like it or not, we as Americans elected this man and that is how our system works. You have earned yourself the right to complain but you should respect the office.

The fact you started this thread with an upside down flag says a ton about you and your values.

You can oppose his views all you want. Making predictions for disaster is just plain stupid and IMHO unpatriotic....you see your commander-in-chief being a failure even before he begins his job..your perogative...hate is a characteristic for which your party has used and garnered to win the previous two presidential elections.....it didn't work this time
