Today is not a play-in game...we need to get that clear.

8 or 9 in Zags bracket would be nice.

I for one am not real excited about being the round of 32 game for the Zag's. I don't know why people seem to think they would just be a pushover. They went on the road and beat the same Oklahoma team that dismantled UT early in the season. They have also beaten K State, Oklahoma, Baylor (when Baylor was playing well), and St Mary's 3 times. Not to mention they have won 14 in a row. UT may be able to pull off that upset, but I am not sure why so many people think it would be such a great matchup to draw.

I don't understand why people are down on the Zags thinking they aren't that great. I want no part of any 8-9 seed. Doesn't matter who the 1 seed is. I've watched Gonzaga just about every time they've been on TV this year. They are legit.

So which other 1 seed would you rather play?

Beat me to my post lol. Their bigs are ridiculous and the run the floor way better than Stokes. And they have 3 that can do it.

None, thus why I would prefer not to have an 8 or 9 seed. I personally think an 11 is just fine. There is really no competative difference between playing a 6 seed or an 8/9 seed in the round of 64 but a HUGE difference between a guarenteed 1 seed and a probable 3 seed/slight chance at a 14 seed in the round of 32. On the whole avoiding a 1 seed as long as possible is the best bet to NCAA longevity. An 11 seed does that nicely.

I have to admit I haven't seen them play very much this year, but just looking at stats they have 2 7 footers that play. Even if one of them is a Euro type that hangs at the 3pt line that is a nightmare for Stokes.

Zaga is good. But would you rather play Zaga, Duke, Louisville, or Indiana? Don't see how Vols can win the SECT (beating UK and UF) and be put at a 10. Probably a 9.

Not a good match up.

Pretty sure UT needs this win to avoid being bumped to "Last Four Out". Alabama certainly out with a loss and not in with a win, but UT is almost certainly in with a win, could be out with a loss.

But the bubble seems really big this year.

You've been hanging around the bubble all year. The best I'd expect, if you win the SECt, is probably 9-10. A 7 seed is out of the question. Poo poo the RPI all you want, but the teams sitting at the 7 seed line right now have an RPI in the teens and will have more wins than Tennessee (even if you win out).

I'd take the 10 seed and run at this point

Thank you for your profound knowledge sir. We will all take it into consideration. :whistling:

Avoiding the question.

Ideally if Georgetown can sneak a 1 seed I'd be ok with that. But the committee doesn't do rematches so that's out of the question. If I had to pick between the four listed above I would choose Louisville.

Not only that, but we have no one that can guard Elias Harris.

I would choose L-Ville too.
