You've been hanging around the bubble all year. The best I'd expect, if you win the SECt, is probably 9-10. A 7 seed is out of the question. Poo poo the RPI all you want, but the teams sitting at the 7 seed line right now have an RPI in the teens and will have more wins than Tennessee (even if you win out).
I'd take the 10 seed and run at this point
Oh I agree, but saying we'll drop to LAST 4 out seems a bit exaggerated. Thats saying we'll drop about 10 spots and I really don't see that happening.

10 spots?

As of yesterday, Lunardi still has UT as the last team in.
Bracketmatrix has UT as the 2nd to last 12 seed (2nd to last team in), and UT only appears on 70% of 98 brackets.

Palm has UT Last 4 in, playing in the first round game. As of yesterday.
What games happened yesterday that would jump UT 9 spots from the 12 line to the 10 or so?
Multiple people on here keep thinking today is a play-in game. It is most definitely not. Bame would have to beat Florida and maybe even win the tourney to get in, as their resume is below average.
The selection committee does not look at head to head.
You said last 4 out...which means we pass first 4 out, then pass next 4 out and too last 4 out...so we'd be down under Bama and around Arkansas.
Or did you mean drop into first four out?
Zaga is good. But would you rather play Zaga, Duke, Louisville, or Indiana? Don't see how Vols can win the SECT (beating UK and UF) and be put at a 10. Probably a 9.
I don't want them to have to play any of those teams until they have to. My point was people are acting like being put in the 8 or 9 seed in the Zag's region would be a cake walk. They are just as tough an out as any of the other 3 you mentioned. Much better to land a 10 or 11 seed in the tourney, or even the 12 as long as you can avoid the play in game.
