You've been hanging around the bubble all year. The best I'd expect, if you win the SECt, is probably 9-10. A 7 seed is out of the question. Poo poo the RPI all you want, but the teams sitting at the 7 seed line right now have an RPI in the teens and will have more wins than Tennessee (even if you win out).

I'd take the 10 seed and run at this point

Multiple people on here keep thinking today is a play-in game. It is most definitely not. Bame would have to beat Florida and maybe even win the tourney to get in, as their resume is below average.

The selection committee does not look at head to head.

While we could lose and still get in, we could lose and not get in. Therefore.....

1. Tennessee needs this game to help sure up their spot to the tourney. Without a win, Tennessee may not make it in.

2. Bama needs this game to go to the big dance. With it, they stay alive and give themselves a shot. Without it, they are going home.

Is it a play-in game by definition? No. But it's pretty dang close.

Zaga is good. But would you rather play Zaga, Duke, Louisville, or Indiana? Don't see how Vols can win the SECT (beating UK and UF) and be put at a 10. Probably a 9.
