Todd Kelly Jr Commits

Don't crucify me for not knowing this but what was Todd Kelly Sr.'s number when he was playing for the Vols? Will Jr legacy the number?

This completely caught me off guard. I never got that good of a feeling regarding TKJr and just figured that we would be brides maided again. He often said that everything was even and he wouldn't just follow in Dad's footsteps.

This news is the best part of my week and I'm leaving for PCB in the morning

If you had followed this kid on twitter you'd have known what a big orange fan this kid is. I'm a little surprised he committed this early, but not at all surprised he sealed the deal with us. You could just tell.

Being a safety..he'll probably keep his high school number if available

That's his HS number... Vincent Dallas shows on Wiki as #6.

Whatever number he comes up with, I'm glad to have him on board. :hi:

Well that answers that. I thought his hs number was taken but wasn't sure.

Edit I'm also at work on my phone so I'm trying to be secretive. Lol.

Yeah but a lot of schools will have 2 of the same numbers on the team so long as one plays d and the other one offense. Might see 2 #6s next year.

Works for me!

I'm a soccer mom, so I mainly get twitchy when I see #10, but I'll be delighted to see any number on TK#2's back, as long as it's a UT jersey.

I thought I had read that one of the new rule changes had something to do with not allowing that any more.

No issue..give THIS young man #0 and he'll make it worth something

Just looked the rule up. Wasn't what I thought they had said on the radio. Looks like it is still legal.

Half the radio folks don't know what they're talking about anyway. Many of them are radio people, not sports people. It shows too. I've worked with them, and they simply don't understand what diehards are looking for out of sports talk.
