Todd Palin - Secessionist

Libertarian and secessionist sentiment is common in Alaska. You would run into this sort of thing in any Alaskan family eventually. It is as shocking as finding a relative of a candidate from Mississippi or Alabama that proudly displays a confederate battle flag.

Why is there not more talk about Palin's husband being a secessionist?

Probably with all the outrage over Michelle Obama she was proud of America for the first time in her life a few months back.

PSSST...did you ever think it might be a historic flag or a replica?

Here's a couple of hints. She is Governor of Alaska. It just so happens, Alaska is the 49th state.
PSST, here's a hint, her husband is a secessionist.

Her husband was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party... Obama is deeply involved with Ayers and Wright.

What are you trying to say O-dub? Making this association about the Republican Veep candidate certainly doesn't trump the associations of the Democratic Presidential candidate.

Well of course he's not now, his wife is the VP candidate. That wouldn't look good now would it? I guess his whole hatred of America has changed.

If Palin is, then what does that make Obama, who has been in Ayers' home, was a member of a racist church for 20 years and spoke at Daily KOS convention?

Actually, after some very limited research, I have found that the Alaskan Independence Party is NOT a secessionist group. While some of their members have proposed such scenarios, it has never been an official position of the party.

he Alaskan Independence Party is a political party in the U.S. state of Alaska that advocates a state vote which includes several options, including strong beliefs in Federalism, limited government, and territorial status. It states objectives similar to that of the Constitution Party and Libertarian Party, supporting gun rights, privatization, home schooling, and limited government. The party has appeared on the ballot in Alaska in all state elections since 1970.[citation needed] It has been alleged that some of its members in the past have also proposed that the state explore the possibility of joining Canada. Some other members have expressed opposition to joining Canada in its present form but are open to the possibility of joining an independent Western Canadian state including the Yukon and Northwest Territories.[citation needed] Neither of these scenarios have ever formed any part of the party's platform.
The party has a conservative, libertarian doctrine... which I love. They were originally formed to get a right to vote FOR statehood.

The Alaskan Independence Party was originally founded with the goal of getting Alaskans a right to vote on their statehood, much the same way Puerto Rico has a vote on its statehood. The AIP charter states: "The Alaskan Independence Party's goal is the vote we were entitled to in 1958, one choice from among the following four choices:

  1. Remain a Territory.
  2. Become a separate and Independent Nation.
  3. Accept Commonwealth status.
  4. Become a State.
To say anything different is reaching.

The next President of the United States. I could care less about Todd Palin, he'll have plenty of time in Alaska the next four years if he wants to be a part of the AIP or not.

Obama isn't married to them. Palin and her family are traitors.

Well thanks for that considering this thread IS about Palin.

Loving your lack of proof!

Obama isn't married to a person who said a few months ago she was proud of America for the first time in her life?

So you could care less about Todd Palin too, but you start a thread about him with no proof?
I care about people who hate America being in the white house yes. It's just a good point that it will never get that far.

So you don't think she should be the VP nominee because you think she and her family have interests that don't jibe with our American way of life?

Ok we'll take her off the ticket if you take Obama off the ticket over the same concerns!

Fair enough?

Like I've said many times, I stopped trying to prove anything in this forum a long time ago. People are too close minded and everything is a lie. So, just google it yourself if you're that interested, cause I don't have any Fox News links for you.
