Todd Palin - Secessionist

Like I've said many times, I stopped trying to prove anything in this forum a long time ago. People are too close minded and everything is a lie. So, just google it yourself if you're that interested, cause I don't have any Fox News links for you.

How very open-minded of you to:

1. make a blanket statement about how people think in this forum and

2. to call Palin a traitor

Hooray for open-mindedness!

Loving your lack of proof!

Obama isn't married to a person who said a few months ago she was proud of America for the first time in her life?

Its amazing how everyone magically dropped the word "really" from that quote. It takes on a whole new context without it.

You don't have any factual links because it's not true.

Todd Palin was a member of AIP, an Alaska secessionist political group from 1995-2002.

Alaska Independence Party has aligned itself with radical paramilitary groups and even allied itself with radical Iran Islamic dictatorship:

Quotes from Joe Vogler, the party founder:

The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government

I won't be buried under their damn flag

And then you get mad. And you say, the hell with them. And you renounce allegiance, and you pledge your efforts, your effects, your honor, your life to Alaska

My government is my worst enemy. I'm going to fight them with any means at hand

When the [federal] bureaucrats come after me, I suggest they wear red coats. They make better targets. In the federal government are the biggest liars in the United States, and I hate them with a passion. They think they own [Alaska]. There comes a time when people will choose to die with honor rather than live with dishonor. That time may be coming here. Our goal is ultimate independence by peaceful means under a minimal government fully responsive to the people. I hope we don't have to take human life, but if they go on tramping on our property rights, look out, we're ready to die

I was actually agreeing with your statement.

You can type until your keyboard breaks, but you tou won't change anyone's mind in an Internet forum. Even though we all still do it.

I'm pretty sure your shadow scares you.

For someone you have on ignore. You sure spend a lot of time worrying about me.
A swing and a miss.

I am a secessionists..... what is the big deal?

Under the constitution the Confederacy did exactly what was expected of them.

The founders never intended for the free people live under the tyranny of government.

JZVOL wanted cited sources, that is all I did.

Isn't it interesting how liberals say "States' rights" as if it is a bad thing?

The Weather Underground was an underground terrorist movement. The AIP is a political party recognized by their state's government.

People can make their own judgements, I simply cited the sources. It seems to be a fact that Todd Palin was a member of AIP, a political party with a secessionist platform, for almost 7 years.

Their "platform" is to get a vote from Alaskans for one of four options. 1) Stay a state 2) Become a commonwealth (there are MANY commonwealths in the Union) 3) Join Canada or 4) become an independent nation.

Half those options maintain status as a State of the Union. They just want the people of Alaska to get to vote on it.

That's fine. The platform is the platform. I just find it very hypocritical that this would be a much bigger story if Michelle Obama were associated with some extreme black nationalist movement.

In short, if it is a hypocritical story about a republican it is ok?

No. All I am saying is I would bet my bottom dollar JZVOL, allvol123, etc...would be all over it if it were the case and we would see at least 15 threads about it. I personally don't think it matters one bit. But the question was brought up of cited sources, so I gave them.

So now it is a hissy fit?

You can believe whatever you want based on whatever you want. It's not like anybody is going to change anybody else's mind around here. Just like with the Todd Palin AIP business, none of this matters.
